noodle town

You have to try the fried noodles with either beef or chicken. Both are exceptionally good. The vegetables they use are also very green and high quality, not something you'd expect from a chinese restaurant. Also, great service!

No You Di 'int !!!

by rgill30

What is wrong with you chinese food eating city searchers? We ordered from this restaurant strictly because of the rave reviews we read from citysearch. Um, no.

I ordered the walnut prawns and the kung pao chicken (extra hot). Both of these dishes were specifically recommended. When we got them, they were terrible. The walnut prawns were tastless and soggy. The kung pao chicken was supposed to spicy and was definatly not at all. It was over-sauced so much so, that the chicken tasted like the peanuts, like the carrots, like the zuchini.....all tasted like soy sauce.....

I will cut you citysearchers some slack. Maybe this is your first chinese food experience ever? Maybe you are deathly ill and can't taste, or smell, or have blurry vision ?! Maybe you are used to eating at East Bay Chain Chinese Food Establishments like: Pick Up Sticks, or I Love Teriyaki......Or possibly you are co-owner of Jade Cafe and really need to promote your business.
Two (Good) things about Jade (I am not a total byoch)- Fast delivery, friendly and professional delivery driver and found our apartment which is not easy....

Pros: Fast Deliver, Friendly Deliver Driver, Found our Apartment which is not easy....

Cons: Terrible Quality of Food, Over Sauced, and OVER salty, Put us on hold six times when trying to order deliver,

Best take out or delivery chinese food in SF

by aworden

Walnut Prawns... mmmm get the walnut prawns...

Don't plan on taking a date here - zero ambiance. Pick up or delivery is the way to go unless you really are hungry and you don't care about the bare-bones environment.

Pros: Reliable delivery

Cons: Unreliable picking up the phones after putting you on hold - and you can't call back!

I LOVE THIS PLACE

by muyeng

I always get the shrimp and scrambled eggs over rice and the deep fried oysters. I cant find a better place to eat these dishes. The fried bananas are always a good dessert.

Pros: Inexpensive

Excellent value

by honeyvelour

For the price, you'll have a hard time finding something better. You can easily spend less than $20 to feed 4 people. The soups are good and sizable. I particularly like the salt and pepper shrimp (or squid).

Pros: parking, value, good food

Interesting eats

by quercuslobata

I've eaten here a number of times. I still have not veered away from the restaurant's specials since their offerings are so delicious. There are some dishes that may be "indigenous" to this place which make Jade cafe doubly special. The place is clean, the service prompt, parking plentiful, and the food is flavorful and balance. Just thinking about the salt and pepper pork from that place is making me salivate.

Pros: good food, not greasy, good value
