Karl Strauss Brewing Co

The service here is great except for this one guy who was extremely rude.
The food is average and theres nothing special about their beer.
I was bummed about them not having any thousand island sauce!
What kind of restaurant has no thousand island?!?

Another great restaurant (in addition to brewery) located in Downtown La Jolla. If you are a beer person then you'll love the brew here, with specials such as the Summer Light or the ever favorite Wheat Hefeweizen, you'll find something you like (either dark, light, or in between). The food is what you'd expect from a brewery, delicious. Personally the appetizers are all I'd ever really eat there. Their calamari and garlic fries are probably the two best appetizers on the menu if not best food on the entire menu. It is sad however that they do not do happy hour Wednesday's anymore because that's when the place was really packed.

A nice place to meet and grab a beer!

I have to recommend the calamari on the appetizer menu. Not too crunchy, just perfect!!! Of course the beer is amazing. I haven't eaten much of their menu, but it all looks good and I'd go back again to keep trying different stuff.

After it is nice to work off the buzz by wandering the shops! Go and enjoy yourself! :-)

Karl Strauss is a pure genius when it comes to scrumpcios food and perfect atmosphere. You may wate in line but man when you bite into a tender,beefy burger your taste buds holar holiluia to Karl strauss.

i'm no expert on beer, but when it comes to garlic, i know what tastes good. this brewery has one of the most delicious dishes i have ever eaten...Garlic Parmesan Fries. if you love garlic, you will definitely love these fries.
