Reviews for Sushi Mashiko

Ratings_icons Sushi Mashiko is one of our favorites!

One of our favorite Sushi restaurants. Fresh fish, decent prices, as sushi bars go. Very small and family run. They have been part of the community for a long time. We go from work for lunch sometimes and some of the people going don't even eat fish. They like the other dishes on the menu. A terrific selection of Sake as well.

Ratings_icons Sushi Mashiko, the freshest fish is Culver City

When you have time for a leisurely meal and want to eat some of the freshest fish on the westside, go to this little hole in a wall in the Ralph's shopping center. The fish is sublime and simply prepared allowing the true flavor to shine through.

Ratings_icons My Favorite "Hole-in-the-Wall" Sushi Secret

Nobbie K. | insider Insider | Rank: 28,662

Look, I'm seriously tempted to write a scathing review of Sushi Mashiko so no one goes there, but me and my family!

Yes, it's a little hole in the wall. Yes, it's in the Ralph's strip mall at Jefferson and Overland. And yes, it is so delicious and affordable to eat at that I don't want anyone there.

Understand, this is truly a "mom and pop" operation with the husband sushi chef and the wife hostess. There is other help every now and then. The other night, there appeared to be a younger Asian male serving. He was okay.

Miki is not the fastest, but he does a good job. And, yes, the service can be a bit spotty and slow, but what do you want? Robotic service from cold and fake waitresses and overly-smiley sushi chefs?

Sushi Mashiko is just a simple sushi bar that offers a relaxed atmosphere, fair prices and decent food.

Ask if they have Hamachi Kama (tuna cheek) in. It's to die for.
