To begin with, you're at the Ritz in Half Moon Bay. The setting is straight out of Wuthering Heights with rolling, foggy moors; the service is impecable; and you're generally feeling very high society.

Navio captures what's best about the Ritz. The setting is classy but not overdone, keeping the focus on the gorgeous view of the Pacific ocean. The service is exceptional with attention when you want it, and privacy otherwise. And the food. The food is to die for. I'm not exactly what you would call a "foody," but I appreciate a good meal. I found the dinner menu at Navio to have just the right balance of creativity and adventure while still satisfying the meat-and-potatoes guy at my core.
