I realize that Chin Chin IS a chain and I don't usually hold chains to very high standards, but I would expect that with the prices charged by Chin Chin, the quality, presentation and flavor of the food would well exceed that of a Panda

For a few years I are once in a while at Chin Chin, the Brentwood one, the Sunset Plaza, Studio City...\r
Well, never ever again.\r
I would allow myself to see heinous food handling practives and kind of overlook it. You can see plenty

I got Chin Chin delivered and it arrived hot. The veggie dumplings were okay; I'm not gonna rave about them like Rosie O'Donnell used to. The smell of the Lo Mein made me a bit nauseous. The string beans were the best of all the dishes

Pros: Food arrived hot; good fortune cookie

I love this place. Great food, cozy atmosphere, best customer service. This place is always busy.Food tastes great.
If you go there you should try Chinese chicken salad. That's what this place is famous for.

Whenever I'm in the mood for California Chinese (i.e. not your same old chow mein), I head for one of the Chin Chin locations. This particular branch is my favorite for its great service and delicious food. My favorite item on the menu, hands down, is the Main Mein. This is a throwback for me to the peanut sesame noodles I loved in New York. This version is a large plate of sesame noodles which are very tangy. There is more than enough for several meals, or for sharing with someone else who is hopefully ordering the dumplings which I love as well. I wasn't that thrilled with the Chinese Chicken Salad so I stick with my favorite. For dessert, there is a fortune cookie dipped in chocolate that can't be beat. This is also one of those places that you can dine alone with a book and not feel self conscious at all. Chin Chin is highly recommended.

This is not your traditional Chinese restaurant. They have created American style (much healthier) Chinese dishes that are simply amazing. If you like Chinese food but are health conscious, try this place.

Editorial from

Dim-sum mania lives on at these modern, chic, noisy and always-jammed dim-sum cafes. Though the quality can be inconsistent, the food can be delicious: Max's noodle soup, good Chinese chicken and noodle salads, plump potstickers and…
