I was a student at Wee Three Bears, and my only complaint is that they couldn't teach me throughout Elementary School! I cannot believe how much I learned, especially as I only believed I was having fun! I was far ahead of my classmates all of the way until third grade! I then was selected to join California's GATE (gifted and talented education), and am now enrolled in the University of California Santa Barbara, studying to become a lawyer. All of the teachers were very loving, nurturing, and kind. I felt safe and always had a blast while learning! Both of my little sisters also attended Wee Three Bears, and they're doing absolutely fantastic! This is definitely the way to go if you want to give your child an edge and to set them up for the rest of their lives!

I have three children and my last child was the first to get into this school. I wish they all could have gone there. We really love it. The teachers here are so warm and capable, and when I leave my child in their care I feel totally confident that she is being treated with patience and kindness and being taught things that will get her ready for kindergarten as well as learning social skills. This is our second year at Wee Three Bears, and I have to say that when our time has come to an end there, we will really miss them. I also want to add that the school is located at the end of a quiet cul de sac. It has a separate entrance and you never enter the main home. It also has a separate play yard. I like that the school is in a home environment but is separate. I appreciate that i don't have to worry about cars or anyone just walking in off of the street. The school is a Christian based school. Our family, while considering ourselves Christian, we had some concerns about it being over the top. It's not. It is a lovely balance. I also know that different faiths are welcome. If you are looking for a class where your child is going to get a lot of one on one attention then this is the school. Class sizes are very small and that is almost impossible to find anymore.

I went to Wee Three Bears when I was a four years old, I'm now 19 and in college. I had Mrs. Casey and Ms. Theresa as my teachers (mother and daughter) and I loved it there very much. They were loving, kind, awesome people who treated you like you were their child (in a loving way). I remember going there and never wanting to leave and even after I left preschool I was so attached to the teachers I went and saw them at least twice a year until I was in the fifth grade. So this review is fifteen years old because that's the last time I attended that school but I love it so much that I found this review site because I was looking up the address to go and visit them. All in all, it was a great experience for me, and it will be for your kids too.

i cannot rate this place with any stars because they wouldn't even give me a chance to say i was interested in learning about the program before *RUDELY* stating they are only open 3 hours and for 4 year olds ONLY.
i am sorry, but anyone who treats potential clients like this has NO business teaching young children anything at all.
from my limited point of view, save yourself the call.

I had to write this in defense of this awesome preschool after I saw the review based on one phone call! Anyone who has had a child in this school LOVES it and that's why it has been running for over 35 years on REFERRALS!!! The person writing the poor review must've gotten the wrong impression, most likely because they were looking for a drop-in daycare as their post states....Wee Three Bears is NOT a daycare - it is a pre-school and obviously has different values than that of the previous poster.

My friend's children all went to this pre-school and they were very, very happy with it, and their kids still talk about it and their old teachers all the time. She obviously convinced me, so I set up an interview and my daughter is now enrolled. She has only been going for two weeks and I can't believe how wonderful it is! All the kids are so happy there too. I'm am so impressed that I felt the need to write a review since when I was in my search for a preschool, I didn't see much written about Wee Three Bears.

If you are looking for a cozy "home away from home" learning environment, Wee Three Bears is the place! It is non-institutional, is run by a former school teacher who has been running the preschool for over 35 years. There are at least 2 teachers per class, with a maximum of 12 students per class. There are two separate 3 year old classes (pre-school) and I believe 2 separate 4 year old classes (pre-k).

You can tell by watching the class that, Mrs. Casey and her teachers TRULY love what they do and love the kids. They form close relationships with each student AND their parents.

FYI: One important thing to know when calling them is they don't just accept anyone, meaning they have an interview process with the parent and child. There is such limited space and they like to make sure that it is a great fit for everyone. Whoever answers the phone may also want to know "who referred you" since they are pretty much only referral based with no advertising.

We love Wee Three Bears because:

* It is so loving and warm, not like a Kindercare or other large instutional type of preschool.
* Each teacher has been with Wee Three Bears for at least 20 years!!!
* There is a definite cozy, family feeling environment
* Huge Focus on Character Building and Self-Esteem in addition to preschool curriculum
* Located in a private residential cul-de-sac, completely hidden and away from main streets

Another reason I love this preschool is because it is just that....only pre-school, not daycare. All kids in the class come at the same time and leave at the same time, so if you're like me and want your child to be around other children who aren't in daycare situations all day, this is great.

I could go on and on, but basically I just HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Wee Three Bears!

I wouldn't recommend this "Play Center". They are very
rude over the phone and hesitant to make appointments or answer
questions. I called to get information because they are not in the
telephone directory and my employee needs new day care close to our business in Clayton. After the conversation I had a really bad feeling, like maybe they were in trouble.

I would suggest calling the child care councel for referrals.

It is incredible to watch the Director and the teachers in action. They do truly love the children and put quality back into education. I would highly recommend Wee Three Bears in Clayton. I believe they have been around for 20 years or so. Sure beats the larger "facilities" of mass-children and teachers!

PROS: Quality education, Loving staff, Professional from top to bottom
CONS: None-other than they're not open all day, every day! :)

Love, that is the bottom line. This school is commited to giving your child the best head start. They love EACH and EVERY child. They are commited to serving you and will not find this kind of attention anywhere else. This is the care you want for your kids when you can't be there yourself. THey make sure every child is havinga good experience. Low teacher student ratio, 1:4 I think... Number one. Get on the waiting list NOW!
