Have been a customer since they opened in this location. The food has always been delicious - fresh and hot ... from the cooking fire, not heat lamps. Service is great. Bottomless chips and salsa.
Only complaint is the parking once Starbucks moved next door.
5Well, the prices are low, but unfortunately so is the quality. The taquitos are serve with some pasty green cream sauce that is supposed to their "Guacamole." The dinner combos that come with a "salad" are basically a small plate of shredded taco lettuce with a cherry tomato on the side...as far as dressing you have a choice of sour cream or Italian dressing (very Mexican, eh?).
Is that real cheddar cheese in the cheese enchiladas? I doubt it. It was so rubbery.
I had a great seat too...right next to a phone that kept ringing in my ear every two minutes. Made for some great atmoshpere. This is a medium priced restaurant that's geared for all the white Azusa Pacific students from the mid-west who were duped as pledges that this is what Mexican food should be like.
That's a cruel joke. I spent $40 + tip for a family of four. I won't be going back there again. (Tip - There's a Del Taco in the same shopping complex, you'd be better off going there for better food at a lower price)
It should have been a sign that no one of latin decent was eating there. I love all the white folk in Glendora, but I guess that means I need to look for authentic Mexican food in Azusa or Covina.
Thanks my two pesos.

Pros: If you like to eat with plenty of white people, this is the place.
Cons: If you're in the mood for authentic mexican food, this isn't the place.
Marias is a small mexican restaurant in a downtown shopping center in Glendora. The food is ok. It's kind of bland without a lot of flavor. The staff provides good service and if you have a short lunch hour, it will pass. The tacos, beans and chips are pretty good.
3I have been going to Maria's many, many years, and I always have had great food there.
They have a wonderful friendly staff, who is very attentive. They also have freshly prepared food - which is more than I can say for some other Mexican "fast food" places.
If you haven't tried Maria's yet, please do, you wont be disappointed!

Ive lived in So cal my entire life and I have eaten the best Mexican food from Mexico up. But I am telling you that Marias has the best mole anywhere. Burritos and enchiladas are not recommended, they are a must. Also you can not go wrong with the beef tacos.

Pros: Fast service
Cons: None
I have been going to Maria's since before it was Maria's- it used to be called Pepe's. I am always searching for the perfect salsa and it's Maria's, nothing has ever came close. I now live in Utah and the Meixcan food here is the worst.

Pros: The food is worth any hassle
Cons: Parking isn't that great
I recently went to Maria's for the first time and probably the last time. This small family restaurant is located in a bustling shopping center in Glendora. The food was so, so. I ordered a chicken enchilada and a tamale with rice and beans. The rice and beans were great, the enchilada was cold and the tamale was hard and difficult to eat. The staff was attentive and refilled the drinks often.
PROS: Great staff!!
CONS: Not so great food!
