I had originally posted this some time ago - long before the littany of 'false' reviews (seriously - read them, tell me you don't smell somethign fishy about the stories)... apparently the owners did not like my review, because they went to Insiderpages and had the review removed for some reason... so here goes again, because I will warn EVERYONE and ANYONE I can about William the Tailor:

I have gone to almost every Dry Cleaner in Simi Valley, and normally go to somewhere else. Their alterations gal was very ill for many weeks, so I went to William the Tailor thinking they would care about Tailoring. I took a beautiful suit jacket to them to have the sleeves altered, the existing sleeves were vented with layered buttons. The seamstress told me she would make certain the finished altered sleeve would be vented and the buttons would be layered. I paid $37 to have the sleeves altered. The sleeves were neither vented, nor were the buttons layered. I had to take the jacket as is at the time for an event, when I came back with another jacket in a different color to remind her of what it looked like and what she promised, and to have her correct the mistake, she told me that she could no longer do it (she had cutt off too much material!). They should have called me if she could not do what she said she could do originally... AND, she should not have produced a finished product that did not include the two things she said she would do. The suit now looks cheap/shabby... and they made no attempt to refund or pay to have it corrected (I ended up taking it back to another tailor to have them correct her mistakes - and the other tailor did the best they could to correct - and charged LESS than William the Tailor?. Please do not make the mistake I made and assume that 'William the Tailor' knows anything about tailoring. They should change the name to 'William the Shuyster'.

Thank you.

I purchased two suits from 3 day suit brokers in simi valley on a Saturday morning. I than took the suits to William the tailor and dry cleaning for some alterations. The seamstress took my measurements in each suit and explained to me the alterations needed for the right fit. The first suit required shorten sleeves and some extra material taken up on the backside of the jacket. She then stated that I needed a hem job for the pants. The second suit only required alterations on the pants; a hem job and the waste to be taken out a bit. I asked the seamstress how long the alterations would take. She told me that she could have it ready by 5pm that day. I was in amazement because I did not expect it to be ready that fast. I said thank you and left. When I returned at 5pm, the suits were all altered and ready for me to try on. The first suit fit like a glove. The jacket was the perfect fit, and the pants were the perfect length. The second suit was even better. I was able to actually breathe a little better in the pants, and once again, the length was absolutely perfect. Not only were the suits altered to my satisfaction, but they were also pressed. If that is not service I do not know what is. I also want to say that the following Friday I had an interview. I wore one of the suits to the interview, and was offered the position shortly thereafter. I am not saying that it was all because of the suit, but it sure didn't hurt. If you are ever in the area, I recommend William the tailor and dry cleaning. They are the best. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are lying

They provide QUALITY dry cleaning, alteration, and embroidery services. Our clothes are cleaned and pressed. The seamstress is very professional and does a superb job when altering my pants. And recently, she did some embroidery for us, which came out wonderfully! I recommend this place. You will definitely get great service...w/ a smile!
