great selection  4 Star Rating - Very good

This place rocks. I first discovered this store around 1990 or so. I have yet to find a used music store as good as this one. They have a great selection. You can find CD's, LP's, imports, new & used, VHS, DVD's and lots of other stuff. You can listen to the used CD's before you buy them, which has saved me from buying some real bad discs in the past. They also have a customer loyalty program where you can earn free music. The staff isn't the greatest, but the shop sure is. They also buy used product for cash or store credit.

PROS: great selection. listen to music before you buy
CONS: the staff could be more helpful

Cool Store  5 Star Rating - World class

I enjoy coming to this store more than any other music store in the vicinity because they buy cd's, so I can get rid of those ones that are collecting dust on the shelves. Awesome!

Go there now!!!  5 Star Rating - World class

I've been going here for a while now, and I have to tell you this is the best place to go in the valley. Huge selection of CDs, DVDs, and records. The staff is always friendly and will make an effort to hook you up with whatever you're looking for even if you can't remember the title. Also, now you can preview CDs before you buy them at the various listening stations throughout the store. I can't say enough positive things about this store. It's the only place I shop in the valley.

PROS: They pretty much have whatever you want.
CONS: There aren't more of them.

First Stop for CDs and DVDs  5 Star Rating - World class

Don't shop anywhere else. CD Trader is the best record, CD, and DVD store in the San Fernando Valley. They buy, sell, and trade new and used media. They're prices are fair on both new and used purchases. Best of all, when you buy ten CD, DVDs, or records, you get one for free. And, if they don't have what you want in stock, they will gladly order it for you and when it arrives, they will call you. Sometimes, the CDs are even cheaper at CD Trader than they are on iTunes and here you get the physical disc too.

PROS: Cheap

It's a Used CD Store  4 Star Rating - Very good

I used to really like this place but whenever I go in I feel like I'm greeted by Jack Black from High Fidelity. The customer service isn't all that great but they do have a good selection of used cds and dvds most in great condition and a pretty decent price tag.

PROS: Lots of DVDs and CDs
CONS: Don't expect them to care

Buy sell trade cd's dvd's  4 Star Rating - Very good

CD Trader has been around for a while. They have a steady group of regulars, myself included. They offer used and new CD's and DVD's. DVD section is a limited. Jazz cd section is bountiful. Good picks if you're willing to search a little. For music hounds such as myself, that's no biggie. Only thing is that you can't preview cd's before you buy them. Rock section is huge, most of the store actually. Box sets and memorabillia also available. Blues, reggae sections are limited. I've traded some Merle Travis and Neil Diamond CD's I don't ever remember buying, and I was able to hook up some nice deals. You can also get a frequent buyer card. After 10 purchases, 11th is on the house ($7.99 or less).
