I went here while I was on business and am glad I took the time to check it out. There is a lot of stuff to see and many different viewing areas. The only thing I didn't like was how out of control parents kid's were. Seeing well behaved kids is so hard to see nowadays!

If I didn't win free tickets. I would never paid for it. I guess you have kids they would love it. We were only there for couple hours. Its cool you can feed the stingrays.

There are 12,500 animals at the Long Beach Aquarium. The shark lagoon and petting zoo is awsome. The many exhibits, what more can you do for an entire fun filled day and spend time with the family.

The Long Beach Aquarium is just the right size to go on a day trip with small kids. The staff are wonderful and the presentations are fun and informative. If you are ever in the Long Beach area, I highly recommend taking the time to visit.

What a wonderful place! Took my son there on a trip to California and he absolutely loved it. (He was about 3 at the time). There were so many wonderful, large displays/exhibits, to walk through, featuring all different kinds of sea life, from all over the world. There is also an aviary filled with lorikeets that you can feed. The food was $1.00. The lorikeets came right down and landed on your hands to drink from the cups of nectar. There is a nice area outside with shallow pools full of small sharks & rays that allow the kids to get close enough to touch, with supervision. The staff at each of the exibits was helpful and informative, teaching everyone a little bit about all of the creatures they were seeing. There is also a large shark tank where you can watch them feed the sharks, if you are there at the right time. That was wonderful, but try to get there a little bit early and claim a place up close to the viewing window, especially if you have children/short people, in your group.
Not only is the aquarium itself wonderful, but it is located in a great area with plenty of restaurants and other attractions. Very close to the Queen Mary, which is also a fun excursion. Great place to visit for tourists an locals alike. If we lived in the ara, we would invest in a yearly pass.

Aquarium of the Pacific is a more comprehensive aquarium than the tiny Santa Monica Pier Aquarium. This is where you should go if you want to see real full-fledged aquarium. Admission is more expensive though, $18.95 for adults and $10.95 for kids 3-11 year old plus you have to pay a parking fee. We had opted for the behind-the-scenes tour once and that was almost $30 per person. However, you do see thousands of ocean animals and is definitely well worth the price.

The Long Beach Aquarium is a must for all of Southern Cali people. The place can get pretty crowded with children during weekend afternoons but its worth it.
There are lots of aquatic life forms to look at and different sea animals to see. The aquarium is very clean and well kept.
There is also a bird exhibit where you can touch and feed the fish. Also there is a shark exhibit where you can touch the sharks and stingrays.

The Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific is one of the most beautiful places that a person can take his/her family to. There are plenty of very interesting activites for the whole family including touch zones where kids can touch various sea anemones and stingrays (without their stingers of cousre). It is a must see in the City of Long Beach and I highly recommend it to everyone. Be warned however, eat before you go in; it is quite expensive to eat inside...
PROS: Excellent place to go to for the whole family.
CONS: Eat before you go!

The first thing I notice about the Aqauarium of the Pacific is how beautiful the architecture is. The aquarium is small and lovely. The Lorakeet forest is my sons favorite place to visit!

Took my friend here as an alternative to Sea World San Diego and the decision was too good! The jellyfish exhibits were just spectacular and so were the shark displays. We actually touched sting rays and flat sharks for the first time in our lives! Also, every hour they have a sea-lion or a dolphin show... be sure to get to the venue early because it gets crowded for this shows and its tough to see whats going on! Also check out the boat rides right outside on the harbor!

Aquarium of the Pacific got to be the most beautiful place to go at night. My high school prom was held here and it was a beautiful one. I had a great time enjoying all the species of fish they have in here. The most memorable part of the Aquarium of the Pacific is got to be the view of the bridge just behind of it. At night it lighted up blue and makes the sea look so beautiful.

Great aquarium and surrounding area. The dock outside is a nice place to walk around and can even sit and enjoy the atmosphere at the nearby grassy areas. The aquarium itself is extremely nice; well set up, plenty of exhibits and fish life. Ample touch pond. Nice place to walk around and check out all they have to offer. Great date place, or as an outing for the kids.

The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach is a great local aquarium and is located right by the ocean. The size of the aquarium is a little small and the variety of animals are mediocre. Most the animals consist of small under water creatures and the only larger ones are seals and sea otters-my favorite. This is a great place to take for the family. After the aquarium, I recommend hanging around the area, because across the st. is an active nightlife.
PROS: Good location
CONS: Small variety of animals

The Aquarium of the Pacific is worth a visit. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because, in my mind, nothing can top the Monterey Bay Aquarium. However, Long Beach's aquarium comes close. It is pricy ($19 plus parking) but come planning to spend a good part of the day looking at all the exhibits. I especially enjoyed the sea horses, jellyfish and sharks. The kids will love it (especially the sharks!).

Aquarium of the Pacific is located in a beautiful building overlooking the ocean. I just love the design of the building with the wavy roofs which just reminds me of the ocean waves. The aquarium has really wonderful exhibits. I love the shark exhibit and feeding time there is really an exciting event to watch.

The aquarium is great! The environment represents each of the various ecosystems of the pacific ocean. There has been recently a special exhibit about whales and other sea mammals. There are great opportunities for getting your hands dirty (or at least wet) by touching sharks and rays or playing in the water fountains disguised as sea creatures. There is also a nice lorikeet display. It is also located in downtown Long Beach near the Queen Mary and the convention center.

This is an amazing aquarium with plenty to do for the little kids as well as enjoyable for us adults. Prices are okay and there is a lot of parking. Plenty of educational opportunities and hands on fun for parents and kids. You could easily spend the day here in Long Beach.

I took my class of second and third graders to the Long Beach Aquarium on a field trip, and we had a great time. The kids couldn't get enough of all the fish and aquatic animals! They have a nice outdoor area where you can eat lunch. The employees are friendly and knowledgable.

I enjoy taking my daughter to this aquarium. It's spacious and pretty much eye level for the kids. They have wonderful exhibits such as a touching pool that allows the kids to pet sting rays and other fishes. The only thing I was disappointed in was the Sea Lion show.

When the aquarium first opened, it was quite a disappointment bc it was so small. However, they have since developed several more attractions, including a shark's cove and aviary. Prices are a bit steep at about $19 per adult, considering what it has to offer. They have a nice jellyfish exhibit, but they do not have anything extraordinary that you couldn't see at another aquarium. I recommend it if it is your first time visiting but warn not to set your hopes too high.

The Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific is so much fun. The tanks are really clean and bright. They have an amazing selection of fish, jellyfish, and other ocean creatures. Check out the petting tanks and touch a shark, sea cucumber, and more.

My high school Prom was hell here and all i can said was well worth the price. The aquariums contain plenty of fish. It a great place for a prom because of the color light refected from the tanks. I love my prom. THe best part is, behind the aquariums there is a parking spot, if you sit there at night the bridge's light will light up a blueish color and show you a beautiful view of the stream.

This aquarium is pretty nice but it isn't a huge aquarium full of exotic fish. It is nice to see some of the animals there but I do think there are better aquariums. Great tours available

Make sure you get a membership and visit this aquarium during special times. It's especially beautiful in the evenings. The petting area in the back is awesome. You can tough sharks, sting rays, and sea cucumbers. Kona the seal likes to follow your hand under the water in the tube. Their sea otters are fun to watch and watching the divers clean the tanks is fun too.

I recently visited Long Beach Aquarium Of The Pacific in Long Beach. My family and I had a great time and enjoyed every minute. It can certainly be pricey here but I personally think it's worth the money. Children can learn so many things here and have fun at the same time, that's the best part about it.

This aquarium has many great exhibits and is laid out in a great way. They have the exhibits designed so that they are by coastal region or ocean region. They have lots of great ehibits including the shark and ray petting area, sea lions, Lorakeet Forest, and Jelly Fish exhibits.

I've only been once, but found it fascinating. The collection of sea life is overwhelming and highly educational. Definitely a great place to take children. I love the fact that there's the equivalent of a "petting zoo" and you can actually touch stingrays and anemones. Loved watching the sea dragons! They even have transgendered fish!

conveniuently located close to the train station you can bring your kids here and enjoy this aquarium that will blow you away with the beautiful tanks filled with fishes (more than 10,000!) and the shark laggon.

this is a pretty large aquarium with tons of exhibits to look at. there's sting rays that you could touch, and a bird aviary, sharks, every fish you can think of, sea lions, puffins, the whole thing. you could spend the whole day here and still not get bored. they also have specal events such as cultural festivals on weekends that are free with admission. a great place for families, conveniently located across from the pike.

The Aquarium of the Pacific is a great place to take your kids! This place is really cool and interesting. It can be pricey here but it's so worth it. I really enjoyed this place my self. This is a really nice place and I definitely recommend it to everyone.

The Long beach Aqaurium is totally cool if you're going for the first time. They have shark interactive exhibitions,
and huge slats of underwater marine life. I have never seen or have known about
so many species of sharks. You will see a shark with a sawblade for a nose and get
to pet life man-rays! They are like lap dogs and love to be in contact with humans.
I think that if you need a crazy adventure you can blue line it on the Metro from LA into the strip of Long Beach, and make a day trip out of it.
It is kind of pricey so plan on going off peak and for a longer portion of the day.

This is truly a world class aquarium. Many of the exhibits are awe inspiring. I really like the outdoor shark exhibits. The touch tanks have the rays that seem to enjoy the attention from all the kids and adults who flock around the tanks. The feeding time for the large sharks is a real unique experience. It makes you truly appreciate the power that these huge animals possess. Definately worth the drive.

This is a wonderful aquarium. Probabaly the best in Southern California. It cost about $18 to get in but it's worth every penny. They have wonderful exhibits and there is plenty of information about all the fish and the habitat. Check out the jelly fish exhibit and the sea horses. You'll fall in love with the variety of styles and mannerisms of them. The shark exhibit could be a bit better, I feel like it's a little over rated, but overall a wonderful aquarium. Come early and spend the day here. Then walk around Long Beach downtown.

I think this is an awesome aquarium. It is huge, and you can learn all about many varieties of fish from different areas of the world. They also have a shark feeding, which is awesome, and a bird exhibit where you can actually walk in and feed the birds - very cool. If I remember correctly, it's pretty pricey, though (around $25 per person).

An awesome aquarium. I love anything that can teach you something about the environment in an interesting and interactive way. This is a tremendous facility with great exhibits with clear viewing areas. The penguin exhibit is always fun and I enjoy the puffins too. There is also an area where you can touch some of the ocean life and experience first hand. Great place to take a family, stay all day and bring a picnic.

A wonderful aquarium. Comparable to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Very beatiful displays of different regions of fish. Educational too. You can spend a whole day here, they even have a stingray exhibit, bird and shark exhibit. After you see the aquarium you can walk around Long Beach and enjoy the sites.

I enjoyed my time at the aquarium, especially the jellyfish and the sea horses/sea dragons. There is a parking structure (pricey if I remember correctly), and they even have an EV charger in the parking lot. Great for kids too, or a date.

Cute little aquarium. Would make a nice bio-date. =) I love the garden eels (I think they had Heteroconger hassi), and watched them for at least ten minutes. Very nice jellyfish exhibit, too.
