Amici Brentwood and Amici Americana (opened July 2009 located at Americana at Brand in Glendale) is our favorite restaurant. The restaurant is the most wonderful, extravagant and has beautiful open to the outside terrace. Me and my friends go every Friday with out fail to taste their succulent ravioli and great fish plates made as in Italy. We always dreamed of tasting their wide variety of meat and fish made to perfection. Absolutely, the best meals we??ve had anywhere. The chef is a grand master chef who really cares about the food. The restaurant also has a trendy bar with wide variety of Martinis but the Peach and Blueberry Martini are to die for. Anyone can ask the manager of the restaurant or the lovely owner to make you special martini. The best thing about the restaurant is not only the food but amazing service, great ambiance and friendly waiters. Owner and manager are always present to make sure everyone is served well

Pros: best ravioli in town
Cons: none
My husband and I love this place. Starting with the white bean hummus and moving through the exquisite and perfect al dente pastas, and most especially the Dover Sole, this place has never disappointed. We've taken family and friends and business associates there, to universal raves. A treat, and even for the the very discriminating Italian food lover. Highly, highly recommended.

Pros: Elegant but unpretentious, outstanding food, from start to finish.
Cons: none
The ambience is okay. The waiters are a bit snoody. The food is less than mediocre and very expensive. Their tiny piece of lasagna is $25! And it doesn't even taste good! They have a gorgonzola pizza...stay away from it! It smells so terrible and tastes awful. They should really take that item off the list. Overall, this place seems like a great place to go for dinner but is overpriced and the food is not good.

Pros: food, servive
Cons: crowded
Salad was missing some of the advertised ingredients when it came out. Ravioli was broken when it arrived on the table. Both dishes were returned to the kitchen, and were fine in the second draft, but this did slow the pace of our dining experience a bit.
Red wine was served way too warm and white wine was served way too cold (I know, this is a common problem at restaurants like this).
Popular and crowded, with a number of families with rambunctious kids in attendance (it was Sunday, after all). This is charming up to a point, but the noise level reflects this and made it hard to hear my date speak.
If you want reliably good Italian food, and fewer kids underfoot, you'll find several superior alternatives a short drive east on San Vicente.
