As a first time client of Richard Vasquez, after only reading numerous wonderful reviews online, I was still a tad nervous to dye my natural blonde hair to a vibrant red. Before we got started he asked questions and really tried to understand my style, maintenance habits all while matching tones of red that would best suit my skin tone. He weaved in 5 different colors into my hair and once the towel was stripped from my head I was thrilled! He gave me exactly the change I was looking for and truly created a work of art. I've been seeing Richard Vasquez of XS Salon for about 5 years. I was first introduced to Richard while he worked for a salon in West Hollywood on the Sunset Strip and I've been seeing him since. Richard is a very meticulous, precise, stylist and pays close attention to detail. He is very knowledgeable about colour, and is very talented and creative. I constantly receive compliments on my haircut and colour! Thank you, Richard! You rock!!

I feel like I have never had a hairstyle. My hair is medium length, straight, and super fine. I am 26 and have literally never gotten good suggestions or good styling from a hairdresser. I simply have gotten my hair cut and have immediately gone home to wash it and blowdry it myself. i moved to LA a few months ago. I walked into XS salon on a whim after my appointment at another salon was cancelled. I saw ASHLEY. She listened to everything I said about my hair (everything I have always tried to communicate to other stylists). She told me what she thought I needed and said she was going to give it some style. SHE IS MY NEW FAVORITE PERSON IN THE WORLD! I am in shock at how much I love my hair. If you have a stylist, SWITCH and if you don't have a stylist, PLEASE trust your hair to ashley!!!

Vasquez is Shear Genius! I love his creativity and enthusiasm and he keeps me on the cutting edge. I?ve lived in NY for the past five years and I have visited many top NYC salons however, none of the colorist can compare to Vasquez. I?ve been going to him for seven years and he is my first appointment when I visit LA. He has outlasted my jobs, friends, boyfriends and the subprime burst. Vasquez is an anomaly!

Richard has always done an excellent job and I have never been disappointed with the results. He is very creative and artistic and pays close attention to detail. He also has great expertise in style and hair coloration. Richard has been very flexible with his time, especially on weekends. I am extremely grateful for his dedicated services and would definitely recommend him to anyone I know.

This is the second time I've gotten my haircut here, and this time around my hair was taken care of by the very talented Ashley. When I walked in, my hair was dry and in need of trimming. Ashley gave me a warm welcome, sat me down to talk about what I wanted to do to my hair and gave me suggestions. In the end, she cut and styled my hair into something I was extremely happy with. Ashley herself has gorgeous hair, and so it really was no surprise that she was able to make my hair just as gorgeous. Thank you, Ashley!

I moved to LA about 11 years ago and was not able to find anyone to color, highlight, or cut my hair as beautifully as, Richard Vasquez, at XS Salon and Spa. He has been my hair stylist for the past 6 months and I have never been disappointed! He takes plenty of notes and pictures of all his clients so that he knows exactly what to do each time. Needless to say, I have received a lot of compliments. The salon is very clean and quiet. The staff does everything to make you feel at home. I would recommend Richard to everyone. XS Salon and Spa is the BEST in town. They are very friendly and helpful. Naz and Marine are the Best in town they know how to make you feel beautiful and very special. When you walk into the XS Salon you feel relaxed and calm. The salon is always clean and organized. There are always fresh flowers every time you walk in the salon. They know what style looks the best one for you. What treatment to use on your hair? Naz and Marine will spoil you from head to toe. You leave the salon feeling like a queen and looking fabulous.

I'm Richard's client. I've been his devoted client for about 3 years. You know how hard is it to trust smb with hair colouring. It's very delicate job. I olny trust him 100% & he knows what he is doing. He has this journal where he keep clients hair information, pictures of your last hair style, so if you come next time he will know what to do with you.You come out of the salon like a celebrety- very fabulous...

I love Richard Vasquez. I have been going to him exclusively for 22 years now. He is a total professional and he always accommodates my schedule. My 19 year old is also a huge fan!!!
Richard gives my wayward and unruly hair a great cut and the color is exceptional. Also, he is very knowledgeable about new products and when I leave the salon I ALWAYS feel like a million bucks! Also, the salon is very peaceful which I like. Thanks Richard, from the bottom of my heart.

I started going to Richard 'vasquez after my long-term hairdresser moved to Las Vegas. My friend from High School had previously gotten her hair done by Richard and it was the best I've ever seen her hair look so I decided to try Richard. I can't begin to tell you how much I love the new hair style as well as the color of my hair. Richard is an INCREDIBLE hairstylist and he is a true ARTIST! Richard gives you his undivided attention so you feel like every penny you spend is well worth it! I constantly get compliments that my new hairstyle and color makes me look younger and even sexier! I would recommend Richard to everyone!!

I moved to Burbank 18 months ago from Sherman Oaks and I still drive to this place to get a good solid haircut. There is no better place to get an awesome guy's haircut. Ashley is totally awesome and Richard is great too. Solid work, attractive employees and clientele (especially me after going here), and just a cool atmosphere. Thanks guys! I'm sure I'll be back....

Richard has been styling and coloring my hair since he started as a stylist! Needless to say I have be extremely happy with his amazing talent. He has a unique way of always giving me a "cutting edge" style, beautiful hair color AND he has a great personality. When I walk in with a picture of what I want done, style, cut, color, I will walk out with exactly what I was looking for.

I may regret sharing this with the world, but aw, what the heck - I can't keep the secret anymore. I have been getting my hair cut by my friend and stylist for over ten year: Richard Vasquez. It's like having a personal style consultant. Richard has the talent, techniques, and eye for style to make anyone look like a movie star and feel like a stud.

The Owners at XS Salon have recently created a great new environment for the stylist extrordinare to work his magic. Over the many year that he has been taking care of my hair, Richard has always done a fantastic job, and has never failed to give me exactly what I needed. Whether it is a simple cut, or touch of color, Richard takes the time to get it right, down to the last detail.

As a regular guy, I never expected to get so many compliments about my hair - But, with Richard, anthing is possible. Promise me - If you discover Richard, don't tell anyone.

I have been a client of Richard Vasquez, stylist as XS, since 1997. He is a magician with the scissors. He can do anything from the conventional to the unusual. He really takes the time to listen, understand his clients' needs, lifestyle, hair type, etc. Tired of the same old thing? Richard can fix that! He can cut all styles, and works wonders with color... he can even make grey hair disappear! I travel a lot for work, and whereever I go, I get compliments on my cut and color. Richard is marvelous!

Also, Marine and Nas have created a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere at XS. Great salon, great stylists!

XS Salon is a brand new salon with a lot to offer. They have a great location, parking is not a problem and the staff are TOP NOTCH. My HAIR GOD VASQUEZ is the man. I have followed him for 10 years and i must say he ROCKS! I drive from Ventura to see him. I set in his chair and let him create is Color/Hair magic. I love what he does to my hair. He just knows what to do to bring out the best features in you. Ricard Vasquez is one in a million, once you go to him you will not stop. I sure haven't.

I LOVE this place!! My stylist, Richard Vasquez, works out of this salon and he is by far superior with his knowledge of colors. I've followed him around Los Angeles for years because he is absolutely awesome with hair. I look and feel like a movie star every single time I leave his hands. Now that he is in Sherman Oaks at XS Salon, I'm even happier!! The place is clean and there is plenty of space for stylists to move around. They have spa pedicures and manicures also, plus its right in the heart of Sherman Oaks and there are cute restaurants and starbucks near by...and you'll probably catch a celebrity passing by if you're into that kind of thing. I'm just into the hair stylist and great styling products they have. Vasquez is the BEST stylist in Los Angeles, and XS Salon carries quality products (reasonably priced too) that make your hair look awesome. If you don't have a hair salon in L.A. yet that you REALLY love...try XS Salon in Sherman Oaks ...and ask for Richard Vasquez!!! Great cuts, fabulous color, super cool guy...he just nails it EVERYTIME. If you can, get to the Valley and try this place, and this stylist for your next hair color or cut.

A beautiful salon with the greatest hair stylist and colorist EVER!! Vasquez is awesome -- just turn him loose to create and you get amazing results. He works magic -- consistently the best cut and color I've ever had--no matter what color he's working with. I followed him here from La Beautique in Tarzana and so glad I did. I have been going to this location for over a year and a half and have seen a lot of changes. There have been ownership changes as well as a remodel yet my hairstylist Vasquez is still there doing hair. I admit I haven't gone to him for a super long time yet I will keep seeking his services wherever he is at. From the first time he did my hair (back when it was La Beautique), I knew that he is the one who I gotta go to for my hair. I have never had a top haircut let alone a color job. I've always done my own hair color and just went to whomever to cut my hair every so often. Coming to Vasquez opened my eyes as to how important it is to have someone who is knowledgeable in this field and I will keep going to him whether he is here or in BFE.

On a random day i walked in this salon for a cut, i recieved a very warm welcome by the receptionist who actually turned out to be the owner, who also offered me a cup of coffee and a treat, theni was directed to a chair of a stylist named Ashley, a side of her natural beauty, her professionalism exceeded my expectations, for the first time i left happy with my cut, it doesnt happen often, they are very nice, and i believe that for a high end service their prices are very reasonable and affordable to those whom would want to get great treatment for a good price, we all know economy these days!?!?....after so many years of searching!!! ...i finally found :)

I was visiting L.A. on business from Chicago. On last-minute notice, they took me and a staff member and delivered great haircuts for both of us (and I'm picky!). I was impressed with the ambiance and the friendly staff. I will go there again next time in L.A. and I highly recommend Marine and staff.

I was walking down the street looking for a place to get my eyebrows waxed when I ran into XS Salon and Spa. I couldn't have made a better decision. The staff was so great and friendly I forgot that I was doing errands. While getting my eyebrows waxed by Mia, she had wonderful stories about Italy-where she is from, after telling me she has been waxing for 20+ years she showed me her secret to a painless bikini waxed. She put a little wax at the bottom of my leg, slapped my leg and ripped off the paper....I have to say, slapping my leg made pulling the wax off a lot less painful.

I have yet to go there and get my hair done, so I can't really comment on that yet.....but it was a great experience and great day while at XS Salon and Spa.

When I first walked in, my first impression of this salon was wow. The space was designed with the client in mind. Subtle colors of blues with earthy browns and so much empty space left me feeling peaceful and relaxed. Then I was approached and asked to have a seat and was treated with coffee and cookies. The hairdresser really listened to my request and delivered exactly what I asked for. I was actually surprised at all the other services that they offer. It was a great first impression, I will certainly go back.

I love ?XS Salon & Spa?. It's so cute and funky .The wait was very short, sometimes I wish it was a little longer so I could sit down with a drink on there comfy couch. Everyone is very helpful as well. NEVER walked out of there disappointed. They know what they are doing. Each stylist LISTENS to the client. Be prepared to accept suggestions/ideas. They will not do something that is out of your comfort zone.

I recently got a haircut a XS Salon and Spa. It's the best haircut I have gotten in ages. What a great staff!!! They really know how to show care and service the customer. As I showed up for my appointment, I was treated with coffee and chocolate. Who can say "no" to that? Then, I was able to drink my coffee while my picking out a haircut. It truely felt like an escape from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. It's a beautiful salon with beautiful staff and located in a beautiful town.

If you're looking for the best in the business, this is the place to be! First off, they give you that star treatment which is essential because who wouldn't want that special treatment, right? Secondly, the staff is extremely talented. I've visited the salon a few times for hair and make-up and I came out looking Oscar ready. They are amazing! It's tricky to find a good hairstylists who really listens to you and I guarantee you won't be disappointed because not only do they give you beautiful results, they're work is beyond basics.
