Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad

My husband and I took our kids to the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad when they were little. We had such a nice, relaxing time. It is very beautiful country with redwoods everywhere. I recommend it for young families.

It's a relief to know that the Billy Jones Wildcat railroad is still in business! Oak Meadow park wouldn't be the same without it! I enjoyed it as a child and I love bringing young children to experience the ride!

We go on the train almost once a week. At $1.50 per person (kids are free) it's an inexpensive way to entertain children. On a weekend they now have the original steam train running, during the week it's a diesel engine (but it's still fun). If you ask the crossing guard, kids can often ride up front with the Engineer - so have your camera ready for that Kodak moment.
