This is good "date" restaurant. We love the food too. But prepare to empty your wallet, not cheap but worth the price. Can't think of anything that isn't good on their menu!

Great place for a casual dinner with friends. I've sat both inside and out and both are nice options. A fun drink menu compliments the variety of dinner options. They have a big selection of spring rolls, the happy buns (duck in a steamed bun) definitely make me happy, and the shaking beef is yummy.
PROS: Fun place to go with friends

Although three seasons has an interesting menu the service and quality of the food is inconsistant. I have had both a stellar dining experiences and frustrating dining experiences.

Tucked into an alley, the three seasons offers great dining in Palo Alto. The menu is alrge and varied and includes everything from spring rolls, thai wraps to curry, fish and other main dishes. A large selection for vegetarians but also meat for those who wish.
Tasty sauces, freshly prepared- oru favorites include Happy Buns (a doughy bun with slices of duck, scallions tat you make with hoisin sauce) and all the tofu dishes. Come and share dishes- including small plates and large.
The restaurant is a bit noisy- so while pretty, nto a palce for an ntimate gatherng.

The decor of the restaurnat is great. The menu is extensive and the food is outstanding. Most of the dishes are small and are meant to be shared so you can try multiple items. There are also interesting cocktails.

Great food. Wondferful combination of different flavors and textures. The atmosphere is very warm and up beat. Our experience has been that service is mediocre. Often playing interesting music.

Good atmosphere. Many seating options (Outside patio, first floor and second floor). Great appetizer menu with various spring rolls and barbeque beef and cat fish on stick. The main food are great tasting. Portions are small even for the main courses.
PROS: Good Service, Great appetizers
CONS: Portions may leave you hungry yet satisfying

This is one of my absolute favorite places to go for lunch. The ambience is terrific - I particularly love the high ceiling - and the service is fantastic. You cannot go wrong with the dishes - my favorite include the vegetarian papaya salad, tropical fruit salad, the "shaking beef:", the scallops etc. If you are in Palo Alto and are looking for a lunch or dinner place, this is the place to go
PROS: great food, wonderful service, and a terrific ambience
CONS: None really

I had a dinner here with an old colleague and friend to get caught up on the various happenings in our lives. This is the perfect place to for that kind of casual meal. Also I think it would be great for larger groups of people. The atmosphere is definitley upscale and service is great, but has a nice casual feel to it. Perhaps its because the menu is at least half appetizers and small plates. Perfect for a more communal shared dinning experience.
Everything we had was great. The have about a dozen different kinds of frresh rolls, that all look great. The small dishes were equally terrific and each one had a small twist in it that made for a nice surprise. Main dishes followed suit.
I found the flavors to be familiar, but sufficiently different as to be interesting. Everything was very fresh too.
PROS: Very good, fresh food, different interpretaion of tradtional dishes
CONS: A bit pricey, and noisey, but what places arent these days

Beautiful location, good service, tasty food. I had the japanese eggplant box- it was more than enough food. I want to try it for dinner!
Pros: Good, healthy vegetarian dish, nice surroundings Cons: a little expensive for lunch

Good small plates
By bbulkow
I like 3 seasons as an "everyday" resturant. It's not great, but seats at the bar are easy to come by, and you can grab a few rolls and some satay without much hassle. Don't expect this to be the best food in Palo Alto, but if your expectation is a reasonable small plate experience in slightly upscale surroundings you won't be disappointed. I do wish the bar got more attention - the mixology looks better than it is (bartender didn't know a caipirinha - they seem to get young staff who don't know their way around the bar).
Pros: small plates

trendy, overpriced, poor quality food
By dpringle04
totally unimpressed, lackluster service, poor food quality (the supposed "special" crab purse was about as good as frozen fish sticks) and totally overpriced. the shaking beef looked and tasted like stew meat (flavorless chunks of beef) and the spring rolls were pretty much tasteless, there are much better places to go in palo alto, this was a big disappointment, dont waste your time and money
Pros: ambience, interior design Cons: poor food, bad service, overall bad experience

A fun dinner
By tkbigelow
We had a nice dinner with 6 people total tonight. The service was prompt and courteous, helpful with the wine menu too. It's the serving style where you order a bunch of small plates and share with the group. The Yellow Curry was really nice, spicy. The Shaking Beef is fabulous. For dessert, try the blueberry cheesecake and the fried bananas. Make a reservation - it can get busy!
Pros: Great bar area, Good Ambience

I'm still hungry

Three Seasons is nicely decorated and trendy with great presentation, but the food was a bit disappointing. The traditional spring rolls were just like the ones I could have ordered at a Pho noodle house. An Average portioned entree was just that...average and the dishes that were enjoyable were so small in portion that it was like having an appetizer.
