Auto Doctor

Had a smog test there and the service was fine. Had college daughter take car in for brake noise. They could not give an estimate of any costs ahead of time. Called me and said there was nothing wrong. Test drove it again and said it needed new brake pads, routers, etc. and said cost was $660 to $1000!!!!!!!!! Took the car to Redding and had the work done for under $300. Ripping off students in Chico-that is what the Auto Doctor is doing.

Auto Doctor has been servicing my vehicles for many years now. Ron has always been very honest regarding recommendations, and is competitive in pricing service and repairs. Beyond that Auto Doctors employees are professional, and knowledgeable. The shop is always kept clean and they also arrange transportation to my work or home which is a huge help. I have referred family and friends to this shop and they also are very happy to have found such a nice group to do business with. They are the best!

I had my car into the auto doctor some time ago and feel I was takin advantage of. Not only were they not fair on the price, it took me several trips to get my car repaired right. I took my vehcile to a friend of mine and was told half the parts they installed were not neccessory and cost me a lot of money I didnt have. I would not reccommend this shop to anyone !!!!

I took my jeep in to Auto Doctor because it was over heating. I was told the radiator needed to be replaced and i got the work done, I asked for the radiator back and took it to another mechanic they could find no major defects. a week later i had the same problem. I brought my jeep back to Auto Doctor and was charged an additional 60 dollars for them too check it out again. this time i was told it was the fan module witch i believe was the original problem. They told me the part was on backorder and it could take several weeks to come in. SO i took it to another mechanic and they found the part right away. I believe Auto doctor took advantage of me and was very unprofessional.

I have been going to Ron at Auto Doctor for at least 13 years. I have referred all family members and my employeed to Ron. Outstanding service!!! Very, very professional. Provide shuttle service. Always explain everything so even my mom could understand. Everyone I've sent to Auto Doctor has thanked for me connecting them with such a great outfit. When I've question costs, they've always explained "the why" - other service companies were providing remanufactured parts, versus their use of new part. Ron gave me the option of either, which meant that they beat all competitor pricing in the end.

I came here because I am a AAA member and it is a AAA facility. They diagnosed the problem of my vehicle which was the alternator and replaced it quickly.

We had a car with cronic problems until coming to this shop. The staff was great! Very knowledgable and friendly. As a women I am always scepitcal of what a mechanic tells me thinking that they are just overcharging me, but with this shop I felt like I was getting an honest deal. They also offer a AAA discount which was a nice bonus.
