Just went to their Haight street location for a tattoo ... after trying another place first that had gotten good comments from this site, where they were both unfriendly and unhelpful (and had just the "attitude" that people claimed they didn't, so maybe it has changed over time), Brain Drops was such a great surprise. A friend knew someone who had gone to their Hayes St. location and was happy, so we walked in. Every person in there was as friendly and warm as could be, and the place is so clean and organized; sort of like visiting a friend who has a really nice apartment and is extremely neat! It was the tattoo guy's day off, but he was there and cheerfully volunteered to do the design I brought in on the spot. The people there are very funny, and Jeremiah (or, Miah) did a great job on the tat--it looks really good, just how I had imagined it. He made a small suggestion on the picture I had, which actually made the end product even better. They even advised my friend on aftercare who had gotten a recent piercing from another shop! Go there, you'll be glad you did. I joined citysearch just so I could write about this place, rather than just read about stuff, like I usually do.

Pros: It's very pretty inside, and the folks are down-to-earth.

This place is the bomb! They have the nicest staff and a very warm and welcoming environment. The tattoo artists are super talented and this is definitely the cleanest shop in town. I have been tattooed at almost all the shops in this city and none compare to this professional, artistic and sterile studio.
