I just went to this restaurant while visiting friends. The food is very good and employees friendly. They had some dishes I had never had before. They also had a good selection of wines by the glass

I love the sushi at Goshi. This is definitely a place to make a reservations, particularly during lunch on a Friday! They have a nice lunch combo with some good choices. The ahi sashimi is beyond delicious! Good value, for sushi, which is always expensive!

Goshi is hidden next to the train station, but the restaurant is loved by travellers and locals. I would recommend making a reservation when you are looking to head here for dinner. The crowd is there on both the weekdays and weekends. Of course, once you taste the food, you understand why. The servings are very large and I often find myself having a hard time choosing what to eat so our party shares and we all get to enjoy different things from the menu.

OK, but not great. The hot green tea, miso and sukiyaki were not hot by Japanese standards; just warm enough. The quality of the food is good; the preparation, satisfactory. On the other hand, the serving staff is almost clueless; don't bother to ask about menu items; just read the description on the menu. If you're hungry for Japanese in SLO's North County, go to Goshi for a fair value at a fair price. If you wan't some special dishes drive all the way to Encino, to Sushi Hirosuke on Ventura Blvd.

You MUST go to Goshi! This place is absolutely wonderful and I find myself seated at the sushi bar once a week. The food is second to none and I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Their sushi is fresh, delicious and the presentation is beautiful and creative. Their sauces (Tetaki, spicy sauce, etc) are fantastic and compliment their modern flair. Garlic chips go well with most of their sushi dishes.... a must try (just don't attempt to kiss your date after the meal!). This place can get crowded so make reservations or arrive when they open.

Pros: Great Food, Resonable Prices, Great Service

First, I believe it is Goshi's, second my husband and I come here generally at least once a month and have never had a bad meal, perhaps lacking service but generally that is good too. We also go out to sushi where ever we go, be it San Francisco, LA, Sacramento, even Reno and Vegas, and this is still one of the best we have ever had, certainly the most consistent (food wise).

When Goshi opened a sister spot to its San Luis Obispo location, it rounded out the expanding and increasingly diverse restaurant scene in Paso Robles. The chefs at this sushi bar and Japanese restaurant do both the raw and cooked aspects…
