One of the best sushi places in Pacifica! Good food, good service. Problem is, you'll have to wait for sushi because sometimes it'd take long when it's busy. But overall, nice smiley waitresses, large variety of sushi (no noodles here) and appetizers. Not for huge crowds ~ place is small.

I suggest you try the Fireworks Roll, the house specialty, and my personal favorite is the Ceviche. It's a new seafood salad appetizer and it's pretty good (Mexican food, Japanese style).

Sushi Koko is highly recommended! But go there early or reserve a seat!

This place has outstanding sushi and its worth skipping out of work early to get a table! Very fresh, simply prepared---try the Japanese Butterfish--yum! This is a small place so there is often a wait and I don't see how you could get a large group in but if you are dining alone or with one other --its perfect. The staff run their tales off to serve you and I'll be going back as often as I can.

I'm a friend of some serious sushi snobs, and they all love Sushi Koko. I know I'm never disappointed, although I'm not nearly as much of a connoisseur. The food is simply fabulous, on par with some of the high quality restaurants in the city.

The only downside is that it's a very small place, seating only about 20 people, tucked into a very tiny strip mall that has almost no parking (try the McDonald's across the street, or park at the Safeway complex and walk the block).

It's also not cheap sushi. A combo dinner will run you from $17-22, depending on which options you pick, and the moriawase plates will run you upwards of $25. It's absolutely worth it in my book, though.

PROS: Absolutely fabulous sushi
CONS: Limited parking, limited seating.

I got take out from Sushi Koko two weeks ago and I have been craving more of it since. I sampled the spicy tuna roll, yellow tail, and the california roll. All were excellent. Fresh and so beautifuly prepared. While I waited for the order, I was given hot green tea and chatted with the friendly staff.

There are about 10 sushi restaurants in Pacifica, and a lot of them are not worth mentioning, but Sushi Koko is a delight.

Several interesting specialty rolls, and the presentation is always lovely and precise. Obviously the fish is fresh or I wouldn't have given them that rating. :)

Just off Hwy 1 as you head into Pacifica, south of SF, and well worth the trip out of the city. Their talented Japanese chef brings new spins on sushi with unexpected signature dishes such as their "Firecracker" platter. A feast for the eyes as well as the mouth.

My regular choice is the Beef with Ponzu sauce entree. The ponzu is authentic to central Japanese-style, with shallots, shiso, onions, and grated daikon radish. No bottled stuff here. Beef is sublimely cooked to perfection, halted with an ice water dip, and quickly brought to your table where it melts in the mouth.

This restaurant is full of housemade delectables I haven't found on other Bay Area Japanese restaurant menus.

What better way to round out an evening than an early dinner at Sushi Koko, followed by a stroll on the Pacifica Promenade to watch the sun sinking into the Pacific.

My husband and I have been long time customers of Sushi Koko. The sushi is outstanding, and although the place is small and sometimes very crowded, we don't have any problem waiting for a table

Pros: Great Service, Great sushi

.

By far, the best sushi in Pacifica - not only for its freshness and taste, but for the value. Cheap sushi is to be avoided, but Sushi Koko is a great value for the price. Wide range of both sushi and other traditional Japanese foods. But the fish is always excellent and the Hanabi roll is awesome!
