We tried this place because of the $5.00 Pad Thai sign outside the restaurant. There was no timeline listed for this to be a special, so it appeared to be the regular price. Then we saw the menu inside listed Thai Iced tea as having free refills. Imagine our surprise when we asked for refills and were told there were none and when we paid double the advertised price per person for the Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was adequate, but nothing to write home about and certainly not worth being ripped off. I'm also complaining to the Better Business Bureau about their bait and switch advertising methods.

I had wondered why the place was nearly empty and all the other restaurants were packed. The locals are wise to it, apparently.

I have driven past this place a hundred times and boy am I glad that I finally decided to stop in. I have a few friends that love to try new foods and the menu at A Good Thai has plenty of original dishes to satisfy that desire.

Very good food with a very unique combination. I have never been disappointed with the food with the number of times I've eaten there since the mid 1990's.

Pros: Tasty, Value

.

Not typically a combination people would associate, the unusual name and pairing of food comes from the fact that it has two owners: one Thai and one Peruvian. The result is a great, if not somewhat uneven mixing and matching of food. Which is not to say that the food isnt good because it is quite delicious. However, unless you dont like any consistency in your meal then I wouldnt order the ceviche and the pad thai in one sitting. Its a jolt on the tastebuds. There is one particular dish I really enjoy there. Im not sure of the name, but it has spinach, chicken and peanut sauce. Think of it as a pad thai taste without the noodles. Its yummy and pretty much carb free.
