I am thinking that you must look a certain way, drive a Hummer, or wear certain brand name clothing to rent a place with these folks...Hmmmm? I have been treated with snobbery and aloofness since dealing with this company (I think they have forgotten that they live in the Yucca too)! We haven't gotten a straight answer since we walked in! They do not call back or let you know where you stand in the application process. They are so very very RUDE... It is almost like I am being punished for having the audacity to ask for an application. Apparently having great references and making 3 times the amount of rent isn't quite good enough. After speaking with many other people who have had the same experience as us and knowing that they don't come out to quickly fix repairs, I suggest bypassing Cherie Miller and checking out the local newspaper or Craigslist. AND WHATEVER YOU DO...NEVER BUY FROM THEM AS THEY NEED TO LEARN THAT YOU CAN'T TREAT OTHERS WITH SUCH DISRESPECT!!!! Good luck to all the good people out there!

I curently rent from Cherie Miller and I find the office to lack any professionalism. I have requested repairs that many times require assistance from the health department and other public agencies. They do not fix critical utilities until they have to; 30 dayy max law allownace; and they call you names and make you out to be the bad persson. I would not rent from this company again if they were the only company. I would rather live in the desert with no home than to put up with their high and mighty attitudes towards others. Cherie Miller believe's they are better than anyone else. They also speak poorly of anyone not in the room especiallly contractors and tenants. They do not repair damage or anything broken. they just take your rent and laough at you. My experience for a year now!

I have rented my home for seven years. Cherie Miller and associates took over the management of my triplex about 4 years ago. In that time, I have had a few repairs come up that have been completely ignored. I needed a new smoke detector, the hood over my stove shorted out, part of my ceiling collapsed in, and my septic system was backing up into my bathtub. As each of these things came up, I reported them to the rental office. I was ignored. On a couple of occasions, repair staff showed up, but gave no prior notice that they would be coming, so we were at work. On these occasions, they attempted to enter the home without our permission. This is illegal. They must, by law, give notice that they wish to enter the premises at a certain time. They could have let my cats out into traffic or been bitten by my dog. After several months of no repairs and after I sent them a notorized letter concerning the repairs, I called out a county code enforcement officer. He said not having a functioning smoke detector or hood were both safety violations and he notified the company that they needed to repair my home ASAP. They ignored him as well. After he returned a month later, saw the repairs had been neglected, and then threatened them with a fine, THEN they showed up that afternoon and fixed everything in the house. It should not be necessary to go to such lengths to make a landlord fullfill their legal obligation. As for the septic problem, they broke open the concrete to repair it and then left it sitting for TWO MONTHS as a pile of rubble and septic water. Everytime I showered, a river of stinky water flowed down the driveway and into the street. At the same time they raised my rent. I called and asked them if the additional rent was to pay for the moat in my front yard. After threatening to call code enforcement again, they finally came out and finished the work. I do not recommend renting from this company.
