My experience there the other night was not pleasant. The service was slow, the food was not good at all; soggy greens, cold BBQ, and hard cornbread. I am NOT exaggerating when I describe the food. Located in Jack London Square in Downtown Oakland, and there are two parking garages nearby. The place is in a safe area of Oakland and I usually see police cars in the square. Dorothy, the owner a spirited lady is usually there. The crowd is friendly and is there to have some fun and listen to good music. Theres a small stage and the live music is just fabulous.
