Everett & Jones Barbeque

The food here is so good! I love the potato salad and links! The staff is friendly. The prices are a bit high but the portions are huge! I love the sauce and am so happy that you can buy at the grocery stores now!

Over the years Everett and Jones has not maintained consistency, which is unfortunate. My experience there the other night was not pleasant. The service was slow, the food was not good at all; soggy greens, cold BBQ, and hard cornbread. I am NOT exaggerating when I describe the food. All I can say is that I was thoroughly disappointed and will not go back.

If you are looking for good southern style barbeque and some good soul and jazz, this place is a must. Located in Jack London Square in Downtown Oakland, and there are two parking garages nearby. The place is in a safe area of Oakland and I usually see police cars in the square. Dorothy, the owner a spirited lady is usually there. The crowd is friendly and is there to have some fun and listen to good music. Theres a small stage and the live music is just fabulous. The food is great too! A must go place. I love it!
