99 Ranch Market

Good selection and resonable prices. They are located in a very convenient plaza, so you can eat and grab groceries at the same time. The food seems fresh. It's a very good choice is you're in the neighborhood. The take out and hot fast food there is also pretty good and very cheap.

Ranch 99 has a lot of good asian food--both ingredients for food and ready-made stuff at reasonable prices. And despite what another poster said, I've found their seafood to be much fresher than any of the local chain stores (although I would have to agree that the tanks are overcrowded). My biggest complaint is that on the weekends it is really crowded and the people tend to be very pushy, so go during the week if you can.

They have the biggest selection of Asian foods I have seen in the area. Their vegetables and seafood are incredibly fresh (half of the seafood is alive until you order it) and all of the snacks and other types of foods are abundant as well. In the back is a little area where they serve an incredible tapioca drink too!

Here's the thing: 99 Ranch is probably your best bet for authentic items, especially if you're looking for obscure Asian stuff (Pocky notwithstanding). My main issue is the live fish tanks jam-packed with so many fish they can't breathe or move. I've seen dead fish in the tanks too. Which makes me wonder, if people want their fish so fresh they need them slaughtered right in front of them, don't they care about the conditions in which they lived?
