My husband and I dine at Park Ave. 2-3 times a week, year around. Love the casual, friendly restaurent. Excellent food. Never had a poor meal. Nice wine list. Kiley is an excellent waiter and goes out of his way to serve all the guests. He is especially friendly to the "drop ins" or the non-locals. He will even save you a parking spot in the back and that is very much appreciated during the summer. I hope Park Ave. remains as is for many more years.

Well located, one block from the ferry on Balboa Island. Some may say charmingly local but I would characterize it as rundown. Only tried breakfasts and lunches; never dinner. I'm local and there are many better choices around PCH. Chili for lunch, if you like it spicy, is to be recommended

This is a great place to have lunch or dinner on Balboa Island. The tables are set up both inside and outside and you can feel that ocean breeze when you sit outside. The locals love the place and that is high praise, indeed. My husband and I have rented places on the Island for vacation getaways and love dining in this charming little restaurant whenever we are there.

My family often has breakfast here and it is always wonderful. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. It is not known by the tourists, it is more a local place.

A local favorite on the island, Park Avenue Cafe is known for their sandwiches. Personally I think they some of the best breakfast in the world. They have good portions, and the food is generally very good. It is always a little crowded, and service can be a little slow but if you want the Balboa Island feel, this is the place to go.
