I went in to have a simple cleaning done for my dog. He had just lost a tooth and I was a little freaked out. He had never had a cleaning done so it was time to go. I saw Dr. Baldner and a nurse that I believe was named allison or alice. They were very kind at the first meeting. I was given ADVICE as to what needed to be done. She suggested an extraction on two front teeth that were crowding the canines. I took in that information but was against removing any more teeth since he had just lost one. I was assured that if it came to having those teeth extracted I would be contacted by phone to authorize the procedure. Both the doctor and nurse assured me of this.

I took my dog into the vet this morning and dropped him off so they could prep him for the cleaning. 1. The receptionist could not find my appointment (which annoyed me since I had been up since seven). When she finally found it she blamed it on a new system. Hmm....ok.

2.When I was looking over the paperwork I asked if my dog was listed for any extractions. She said NO. I told her did not want any extractions done, and if it was totally necessary to call me. She said, "oh yeah they don't do anything without calling you first" (Ahh. okay so its protocol.)

So tell me why I get a call from the dental technichian (michelle) that my dog was done. They extracted two teeth and that he was in recovery.

I didn't pay for the extraction and I am taking legal action! DO NOT DO NOT take your beloved pet here!

Your animal's healing experience depends on the competence and compassion of EVERY person in a vet's office chain of care. The thing is we were warned ahead of time; they said when we adopted our rescue kitten that McRoberts is a pretty good vet, but the rescue organization uses her and they need to get it all done cheap. But they warned us ahead of time about the office staff, and sure enough they were right. Personally I will not hand over my kitten to a tech that is rude, then verbally violent, and whose reputation for being repulsive and incompetent is known throughout the community. I read yahoo and google reviews and she has abused other ppl and their sick pets, so it's not only us. We would rather pay more than have our kitten brutalized the way we and other clients were. Later, much later we were told a lot of these rescue kittens don't make it through their "free" spay/neuter surgery. Perhaps they are so sick to begin with but then why do the surgery in the first place unless you're just trying to give techs more experience. The atmosphere in this place gives me the creeps. We found a terrific vet elsewhere, you don't need to put up with this sort of incompetence, and techs with either personality disorders or a drug habit.

Pros: Mixed reviews about vet competence

Cons: Abusive vet practice

I wouldn't recommend these people to my worst enemy.I have a Sphynx kitten. She is a $1500 cat. Every time I call these people they put me on hold. I waited one time for 23 minutes until I finally hung up and called back. This time when they answered they were really rude and they said they were with a client and asked me to hold again this time I was on hold for another 10 minutes, when they answered they told me they would have to take a message and call me back because the vet was with someone. They Never called me back. When I called them and finally got an appt. They first took her temp. Sphynx cats have a higher tempature that a normal cat due to the lack of hair. They told me they thought she had a tempature. I corrected them. Next they looked in her ears and swore she had to have the slide test for ear mites. these cats also due to the lack of hair in thier ears have dirtier ears that a normal cat. It of course came out Negative. They gave me a cream to put in my cats eyes called Terrmycin. They prescribed it for 14 days. After about 7 days she became really hard to put the ointment in her eyes. even when we wrapped her in a towel. I again tried to call these people. They again put me on hold. this time for 12 minutes. I was so angry I hung up and called a different vet. When I took her in this time I brought the ointment I was given. The New Vet told me That The only should have prescribed this ointment for 7 days. AFTER & DAYS IT STARTS TO BURN!!!!! I couldn't Believe it! We discontinued the use and her eyes cleared up right away! I would not take any animal to this vet to save an extra $10. They are lucky we didn't sue them.

I LOVED my visit to Petcare. They provide by far the most affordable veterinary care I have ever had and more importantly they are very compasionate. The hospital was very busy but the staff was very personable and made me feel like my pet was important. They addressed him by name, gave him tons of personal attention and treats. The Dr spent a lot of time with me and answered all of my questions. I can tell why Petcare is so busy, they don't charge nearly enough for the quality of care they provide. It is true there that they care more about the animals than the money. I will tell everyone I meet to take their 4-legged friends to Petcare and no where else!

I don't know why everyone is so critical about how it looks inside, after all this is a Veterinary Office people! If they had expensive furniture in the waiting room, it would just get ruined.
I have had nothing but the BEST of care there with ALL my pets. I have had 3 cats and 2 dogs treated there. I now have 2 cats and 1 dog and they were GREAT when it came time to put down my Lovely Kitty and my Beloved dog. They even sent us Sympathy Cards, both times, with a Beautiful Poem inside.
I have been going there since the late 90's and I have recommended them to a lot of my friends and they think the place is GREAT also.
It's not a bad location at all, and I have never been to a Vet's office that didn't smell of something. The Front Office Staff has always been wonderful, the Vet's are the best , and the Vet. Assistant's are Great too.
I have no complaints about Pet Care at all. It's crowded for a good reason!

my first appt for my cat went fine. the staff was very nice and the vet took his time explaining things and did not try to talk me into medicine my cat didn't need. office visit prices are better than most. I have no problem taking my animals there again.

I took my cat Squeak here for her first vet visit. She is about 9 years old and the staff was amazing with her! From the moment we walked in we were treated with respect and kindness! Dr. Murphy is great with animals! She really cares about them and she doesn't give you any unneccessary tests or shots. I called around to about 6 different vets in the area and they were the most resonably priced! $37 for an exam was the cheapest I heard of! :) I would reccomend getting an appointment as if you walk-in, you wait for quite some time. I got there early for my appointment and was seen early and was out within the hour including tests and shots. Squeak will definately be making this her regular vet!!!

I've taken all my small animals (3 guinea pigs & 3 rabbits) to PetCare for the past 5 years, and I can tell that Dr. McRoberts really cares for them! One time my wife and I had to leave town for an emergency, and she offered to take home our sick bunny to care for her. it is true that sometimes the waiting time is long, but worth it.

The wait is really long and the prices seem to be going up, but I guess they are everywhere. Dr. McRoberts is an excellent vet. One of the best we've ever been to.

I have taken a couple of my dogs here. The wait is long, the scale is not accurate, and the place always seems dirty to me. I had my dog given her rabies shot and when we returned home her paperwork stated that she was a feline. My dog is all white and weighs 55 lbs. How can she be mistaken for a cat. I had to go back the next day and have the error corrected and the lady there was obviously aggitated at having to correct this. This was her mistake. My pets mean the world to me and I want the best for them. This is not the place for that. I know I won't go again after getting such a poor attitude from her simply because I wanted the correct paperwork.
