Ratings_icons Vetco Pet Hospital

Vetco is a great business operation, conveniently located next to a PetCo and with a veterinarian
and assistant staff that go the extra mile and treat you pets wonderfully. Thank you for all you do. The staff kept my 16 1/2 year old dog going well beyond what I could imagine. They are well worth every penny. Making an appointment is always preferable, however, pet emergencies and huge numbers of walk in clients can impact the staff ability to respond to your needs at the exact appointment time -- they are well worth the wait.

I have brought my 16 year old pekingese here for years and she is still chugging along. They give her the VIP treatment, squeezing her in whenever she suddenly needs care. They always make sure and place a blanket on the exam table so it won't be too cold for her and all of the staff know her. After a recent surgery, one of the nurses held her the whole time during her recovery until we came to pick her up. I have never had such loving vetinary service.

Ratings_icons Astoundingly Bad Experience

Algernon D.

We walked into a small waiting area with urine on the floor. We brought our 3-year old indoor cat in for his routine shots. There were three very large, uncontrollable dogs growling and barking. Our cat was nervous and gave a tentative hiss when the receptionist jabbed her finger into our cat's carrier. I moved to the far side of the lobby area to be a few feet further away from the dogs and speak comfortingly to the cat. We were shooed away and back into the area with the out of control dogs (and more dogs came in).

They handed our credit card to one of the other customers.

They took our cat and did not invite us to accompany him. When the vet, whom the cat had never met, opened the carrier in some back room full of barking dogs, the cat was hesitant to come out. Vet decided the cat was "aggressive" and refused treatment.

This was the malpractice combo plate: piss on the floor, unsafe waiting area, non-existent customer service, and our nervous-but-behaved cat was refused basic treatment.

I not only won't go back, I want to publicize what a dreadful place this is.

Ratings_icons Great Service

I have brought my 2 cats to Vetco and let me tell you that everyone there is just amazing. The Vet has wonderful bedside manners and takes the time to help each pet with their own needs. The staff is great and always knows what they are doing. Ive brought my cats so many times that i have 2 files made for each pet and each time i have gone in i have never been let down. My advice during the "Walk in" vaccine days.. dont go just make the appointment to see the doctor and get the vaccines at that time.... you'll love the doctor... Vetco is worth the time and money.

PROS: Awsome place, great staff, wonderful Vet!
CONS: Avoid vaccine clinic, spend alittle more for the appointments!

Ratings_icons Nothing to what I expected.

During their "walk-in" times...I was second in line, it took 2 hours to get my dog's shots. They gave her her shots out in the reception/waiting area. And when I called back to see when her next booster shot was, they said 3 weeks and told me to hold. The lady never came back on the line! Bad customer service and really slow. Definitely prefer going elsewhere! It's overpriced and they are really slow, even for people with apppointments. Dont recommend.

PROS: employees are nice
CONS: really really slow, my dog had his shots in the waiting area, not in a room

Ratings_icons Nice vaccine package for your pet

Julie P. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,342

The package that they offer is around $120 for everything that your dog needs, which includes parvo shots, deworming, rabies shots, and etc. They also can nueter or spay your pet for a low price.
