My husband and I bought a mattress from Rock bottom. And we HATE it. After 6 months it caves down in the middle, and the edges are all broken down. (And we are not heavy people)
Also my parents bought a couch from them. It looks beautiful, but after 3 months the foot rest doesn't work. And when you sit on it your bum hits the metal framing on the bottom.
What a waste of money. Sad to say, I am glad that they are going out of business.

FYI: YES Rock Bottom REALLY IS going out of business FOREVER and it has NOTHING to do with all of your horrible reviews. It has to do with the economy. As to crappy furniture, we dont build it! If you buy Ashley furniture it will fall apart on you, so keep that in mind for future purchases ;)

I just got a circular about them "Going out of Business"--AGAIN!! These people are the most unscruplous people I have ever met. They sold my wife and I a coupe of recliners when they had the "$500.00 Free Groceries" promotion last summer. I should have known better from these people. I failed to read these reviews. The "FREE" groceries were a scam. You did not get any free groceries. Instead, you got signed up for a program where you had to spend money at a certain grocery store, save the receipt and mail it to this 3rd party company and they would send you a "gift certificate" for use at that store. But, it took over 6 weeks to receive anything from the company, IF you got anything at all. I mailed in my first certificate, waited about 3 weeks and then received a letter telling me that that company was no longer doing business. ANOTHER company send me their stuff and I again signed up for it. However, after reading the letter, you had to send in MONEY to sign up! What part of FREE is supposed to cost money? Seems that a lot of crooked companies use this scam to get people in the door. I was NOT told about this program until AFTER I came in the next day to pick up the chairs. THEN they gave me the paper. I was NOT told about this before I bought the chairs. When I asked about the "free groceries", the female sales clerk assured me that it was true-Buy these chairs and get $500.00 in free groceries. What a crock of shi*! When I found out the first company was no longer in business, I called Rock Bottom and talked to the "owner/manager" and he assured me that it was a legitimate company and I would indeed get the $500.00 in groceries. What they did not tell me was I would get them IF (1) I spend money in a certain grocery store, (2) kept the receipt from the store, (3) printed out the form from the website of the 3rd party store, (4) send the receipt and the form into the website before the end of the month i purchased the groceries in, (5) and wait for over 8 weeks to get a certificate worth a few dollars toward the $500.00 in free groceries. What a scam! Several different companies use this promotion and they will not tell you how it works until AFTER you have purchased their products. This is a scam and fraud on the pat of the people that offer it. ROCK BOTTOM is guilty of this fraud and bad business practice. I will NEVER go there again. I hate crooks and they are the worse I have found. People should stop buying their products and maybe they will truly ;GO OUT OF BUSINESS ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!

Bad Customer Service
I went there to look at sectionals and not one single sales person came up to me and asked me if I needed help. It was better anyway because all the prices were outragious! Never going back! Never recommending!

I do not recommend buying here -

I bought a recliner about 2 and 1/2 years ago. Admittedly I was under pressure as my husband had had open heart surgery and we needed a recliner so he'd have a place to recover when he got home. My son told me to go here because there were always sales and "good deals" I selected a very attractive recliner that seemed to have a problem with closing all the way. I mentioned it to the sales person. She and another salesperson glanced at each other and shrugged and said, "oh, the floors here are uneven." When we got it home, over 50 miles away, guess what? It still didn't close right. The only way I can close it is to lay the chair on it's back (a bit bulky and heavy) and push the footrest all the way down that way. Just a bit inconvenient, wouldn't you say? I did see the contract that said "all sales are final" and under the circumstances, I was not in a position to dicker with anyone about it. So far, no one has been injured or tripped over the slightly jutting footrest by either trying to get out of the chair or walking by it. Under the circumstances, I would not recommend this store as I feel I was misled by the sales staff, and that they knew something was wrong with the mechanism and deliberately misled me. Also, since then, I have noted the prices of other attractive recliners in other good furniture stores and I feel my recliner was over priced. If you decide to buy here, take it outside and take a really good look at it, and, very importantly, shop around before deciding.

I have bought almost all my furniture from Rock Bottom over the years and most recently purchased a couch from a wonderful man named Ron. The girl that rang up my sale was very professional and overall the service rocked! I bought a table a few years ago and got it home to find a big scratch on the top of the table. When I called they told me to bring it back and they gave me a new one, no hassle. I will continue to shop here because the service has been great and so are the people.

I also had a horrible experience with Rock Bottom. I complained to the BBB and almost went on KCRA Call 3 Problem Solvers. They did not honor a radio commercial that I heard even though they got verification from Linda Rock herself of the commercial. During my fight to get some of my money back (the commercial quoted "free mattress and free tax with purchase of a bedroom set" and they only gave me the mattress, not the tax), I was told I would receive a check in the mail by the manager. When I called back after a month or so, that manager no longer worked there and the new one was the rudest man I have ever dealt with!! He literally yelled at me on the phone!!

Needless to say, I never did get my money back from them. The staff as well as management are rude and have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

NEVER, EVER SHOP THERE!!!!

I also bought furniture Dec 06. The entertainment center literally fell apart, the nightstand drawer splitting two, the kitchen table and chairs are falling apart, spent 9000 dollars on JUNK. I complained to the BBB and Linda Rock sent some repair people to my house and they didn't even come back to finish and what they did try to fix, broke again. This furniture is JUNK. They should be forced to refund or at the very least replace the junk they sold us. I would NEVER buy from them again. My best friend also bought from them and her furniture fell apart too. Same table and chairs, all fell apart. You should all complain to BBB, or comment back if you all want to get together to sue them for our money back. Im game. Good customer service Linda, not that you care, once you get your money, you walk away. Greed is a horrible thing.

Rudeness is abundant at this warehouse. I think the sales people must all hate each other. The quality of product is about the same as the flea market but the prices are outrageous. So don't waste your time and fall for the commercials etc. A trip to rock bottom will leave you stressed out and feeling like you have hit rock bottom. Good luck!

i have to say i can not believe this place it is the most rude and unhelpful place I've ever seen the stores employee's and owner are the worst I've ever dealt with we bought nine thousand dollars in furniture from this place in September of 07 well here it is a year later and iam still with out a night stand i had to have my furniture delivered and sent back 4 times cause they tried to give me furniture that was all messed up and now the coffee table is already falling apart and they well i should say the owner refused to hold up to her end of are contract saying shes done all she could well let me tell you she is charging me 365 dollars for a night stand i never even got delivered and wont take it off my bill my coffetable legs broke and she wont send no one out to fix it or order a new one the marble on my bed post are all scuffed up since the first day they delivered it and then tried to reorder and send me stuff back out that is worst then what was already in my house what kind of business is this i plead with you don't do business here or they will screw you to all Linda cares about is money not her costumers they wont return phone calls or even try to hold up there contract iam having to pay for crappy no good furniture thanks to rock bottom i regret every single day for ever stepping foot in that store i cant even enjoy my furniture cause every time i look at it i think about how they are screwing me over and the first time we went in the store the sales person lost are licenses we stood there for an hour why they tried to fined them and then they weren't even apologetic about it so i would just like to say thanks rock bottom for nothing and making me never to want to buy furniture again i hope you do go out of business because you sure don deserve to take peoples hard earned money for your crappy furniture or your poor costumer skills

I agree with one of the other reviews about this store.Employees and even Management are rude. I have tried multiple times to purchased furniture form him by asking them to accept another stores pricing. I have brought in business cards form the other store indicating the reduced price and RB still would not honor the prices.... I gave up on this store, I shop elsewhere nowMaybe that is why they state "Going out of business" Real or Hoax? Never know with this store!

Rock Bottom has a quite an abundance of furniture to choose from. They have gorgeous window displays that will draw you into the store. I really like the unique bunk beds they have and some that even include builtin desks.
