By far, hands down the best home style Mexican I've ever had! They've been around for years and have always had good quality food. My parents love taking me here when I come home to visit.

Pros: Good home style Mexican food

Cons: Service is slow

Chapala Mexican Restaurant is one of those restaurants that you can almost miss if you blink. It's in the Southgate Plaza, next to the dollar store, basically another storefront in a strip mall. Sanger is full of Mexican restaurants, but this one stands out for its flavor and friendliness. At Chapala, you can order what you like, how you like it, and no one gives you a line about no substitutions, or tries to talk you into something else they want to get rid of! The service is excellent and very friendly, and the restaurant itself is very inviting with music playing quietly as you enjoy your meal either for business or personal time. The food is perfect! You may have it as spicy as you'd like, and everything tastes positively homemade---no canned or bagged tasting ingredients. You get a whole plate of food for a very reasonable price. Dinner for a family of 4 will run you under $30.

PROS: Delicious, friendly and inexpensive
CONS: If it is quite crowded, they can seem understaffed
