There are many noodle place in the area but this is our favorite. The noodle is excellent and service is great. Cash only tho. Try their spicy shrimp noodle soup.

We really like their fish dumplings and potstickers. We also like their beef noodle soup. Tried the handmade noodles but didn't care for them as much. Very thick noodles!

their pork chow mein is a little greasy but otherwise fabulous. they also make great dumplings! steamed and pan fried, either way you can't go wrong.

I really like their scallion pancakes and chow mein. The pan fried dumplings are kind of hit-or-miss, but when they're good, they're very good. I'm not crazy about the dry noodles with sesame sauce.

It's not a beautiful locale, but the servers are really nice and it's a nice place to get together for an inexpensive and quick meal. I get a craving for those pancakes every couple of months. I also dig the orange facade. It's a lovely eyesore.

Pros: scallion pancakes, chow mein

Cons: decor

Fantastic little restaurant for Chinese comfort food. The noodle soups are always flavorful and filling, especially the beef handmade noodle. Try matching with the must-have onion pancake (flaky and flavorful) and the pungent cucumber and garlic salad (you'll taste if for hours). The dumplings are also very, very good. We go here so often, we've taken to calling the place simply "the MNH" -- the less time we spend saying the restaurant's full name, the more time we have to eat. The waitresses are ALWAYS courteous and caring and happy to see us. Don't miss it!

Pros: Food is exceptional and almost unbelievably cheap.

Cons: Parking in the small lot, especially on the weekends.

Great handmade noodles, scallion pancakes, and dumplings. Perfect for a quick meal that won't hurt your wallet. Don't expect great service or ambiance.

This spot's been here for longer than I've been alive and I've been going to it ever since I can remember. It's located in a fairly busy area in a predominantly Chinese community. You can't miss the glossy bright orange and yellow brick building. Inside, there are a few tables and in the past few years has seen a serious upgrade in decor and sanitation (though it still only has a B rating). The service is nothing special with a couple of waitresses who tend to act as if they had better things to attend to than you. Besdies the nearly rude service is the menu full of hot mandarin noodle soups. You can select from "beef stew noodle soup" to "preserved vegetables with pork" to my personal favorite, "family homemade noodle soup." A tasty appetizer to get you ready for the large noodle bowls is the onion pancake. It's thin and has slightly crispy/flaky outer layers with a mild onion flavor and softer interior. The must have by far though are the noodle soup bowls--hence the name Mandarin Noodle House. Each bowl contains a base broth with your choice of regular egg noodles or their special homemade noodles, some leafy green vegetables, and meat. Their portion size is quite large and could definitely feed two hungry adults. Mandarin Noodle House is a cozy, if somewhat unfriendly, little joint that serves up authentic tasting dishes flavored to perfection. Just remember to bring cash as they don't take cards or checks. They're also pretty prompt with delivery orders as long as they're called in ahead of time. I promise you won't be disappointed with the homemade noodles.

One of the best noodle shops in town. Jonathan Gold calls their noodles "fettucine on steroids" and I concur.
