Ever since I moved to Brentwood, I have been filling my Allegra prescription at the Long's Drugs on San Vicente. In January, much to my suprise, I was charged $30 for a bottle of Allegra that used to be $5 on my health plan. At first, the pharmacy tech had no details. Then she said my plan did not cover it. About the third time I asked her to call my plan, She finally said it was now in generic, but I could not buy the generic, because my prescription didn't say to substitute generic. I finally started telling her that my Dad is a pharmacist, and would have told the customer in advance that generic was now available, and called the doctor or the plan for the customer. She claimed she wasn't allowed to do that. The pharmacist finally heard the commotion and took care of it. I believe this is irresponsible.

PROS: Convenient, plenty of parking, phone-in refills
CONS: Didn't bother telling me my prescription went generic
