Eastgate Towing & Repair

EASTGATE towing is full of CROOKS! I'm never going to use them again. Avoid calling them through AAA at all costs!!!! If they do show up , just tell them NO!!!

I was given a tow from La Jolla Shores to Miramar and they tried to tell me it was OVER 10 miles. When I called them on it (thank goodness for google maps) the not so nice, poor excuse for a man, Mike, said "Oh our driver must have taken a different route." SO be careful. They are like taxi cab drivers willing to drive you around unfamiliar blocks a couple times. They would not honor the AAA free towing service and for that AAA is filing a complaint with this business. If you have AAA, ask them who they are sending. If it is Eastgate towing, do yourself a favor and ask them to send someone else.
If they promise you something is free of charge, get it in writing. I went to pick up my car and was changed for the extra expenses my tow driver swore was free. It's hard to argue since THEY HAVE YOUR CAR. They know this and scam you out of more money. Avoid if at all humanly possible.
If you do use them for the towing service and the driver tries to convince you to take it to their facility- DO NOT GO FOR IT. This is another scam and they charge an outrageous fee for them to "store" the car.

The people at Eastgate were very kind and friendly. They got to me very fast and helped me out a lot. I would recommend them to everyone. I will definitely use them the next time something happens to my car.

Eastgate is Excellent.They are always in the La Jolla area and get to you very quickly. Are you sure that it was EastGate that serviced you? I find that really hard to believe that you recieved that kind of service from them and any how if you knew what was wrong why didn't you change it yourself?

I had a flat tire last night and my car was parked in the Costa Verde Shopping Center on the corner of Genesse and Bobwl. I called AAA and they sent an Eastgate Towing Driver to assist me.

After looking at my spare, which is a perfectly good spare, he told me he could use the spare because it had no air in it. I showed him the air compressor that is supposed to be used to indflate the spare. He said that wouldn't work,. At this point the driver refused to do anything further to assist me, told me to leave my car in that parking lot and call another tow truck in the morning. Basically he was planning to leave me stranded and just drive away.
DO NOT CALL EASTGATE TOWING IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE. IF CALL AAA FOR ASSISTANCE, AND YOU LIVE IN THE UTC/GOLDEN TRIANGLE AREA, ASIK AAA IF THEY ARE SENDING GATE TOWING TO ASSIST YOU, AND IF THEY ARE REFUSE TO ALLOW EASTGATE TOWING TO BE SENT. DEMAND THAT ANOTHER TOW TRUCK COMPANY BE SENT TO ASSIST YOU, OR YOU MAY END UP WITH THE SAME INDIVIDUAL SENT TO ASSIST ME BEING SENT TO ASSIST YOU.

PROS: None
CONS: Eastgate Towing Driver provided NO assistance.

I've had my car towed 3 times by this company to my car dealer. They did get the job done on 2 of the 3 times but they were late on 2 of the three times. And on the third time, they were unable to help me out since PCH called them in to help tow an accident. The people were friendly, however, and there was nothing they could do when the PCH were calling for their assistance.

The people who work for Eastgate Towing and Repair are very friendly and nice. They put you at ease even if your car is broken down/sputtering. Also, if you get towed BY them, they are one of the better companies in the area because they do not require that the original owner of the car (which is sometimes a parent, as registered with the DMV) to appear. Other places require that and it can be a bit of a while before you can get your car back. They are very familiar with the UTC area so the can get there very quick -- thats probably the best part, the lack of waiting time.
