This restaurant serves decent Singaporean-Indonesian food. I find a lot of the dishes here quite oily perhaps due to the fact that many items are fried/deep-fried, but I usually come here craving the desserts, especially the Es Teler (jackfruit, nata de coco, avocado, toddy palm, coconut milk, all in one glass). The service is friendly, and I noticed the owners speaking in Chinese...I think it's run by Chinese-Indonesians..

I think one particular dish I really enjoy is the beef rendang - beef served in this red coconut sauce of some sort. The prices are decent, but I think the quality could be better..

Editorial from

Indonesian cuisine is rich with influences---a little Indian, a bit of Chinese, some Malaysian---and Jayakarta skillfully blends these elements into exciting fare. Singaporean dishes are a sideline here, so start with the roti, a…
