Nob Hill Foods

PROS: 5 star service. The staff are all top-notch, very friendly and go out of their way to help you find what you're looking for. It's also convenient and a time saver to be able to go into a store, get what you need and not have to walk miles if you've forgotten something on another aisle. It's also nice to have the services provided of unloading your cart at the checkout and loading your groceries into your vehicle.

CONS: 3 stars for products no longer carried & meat/seafood pricing & selection. We used to do ALL of our shopping at this Nob Hill. Unfortunately, Raley's no longer stocks items that Nob Hill used to carry routinely before the acquisition. Consequently I'm not doing all of our grocery shopping there anymore. Since I have to go to one of the "box" stores for ingredients that are no longer carried by NH, I'm now buying meats (less expensive & greater selection) at those box stores too. I'm also buying other items that I normally would have bought at Nob Hill.

I sometimes visit this Nob Hill store as an alternative to Lucky's. The employees at this Nob Hill store are always so friendly and courteous.

I especially love their Ultimate Dessert Cakes. They're scrumptious!

This is where we do almost all of our grocery shopping. The courtesy clerks are friendly and helpful. I know most of them by name and they know my family as well. The baggers even take your groceries out and load them into your car. They have a nice selection of quality fruits and vegetables. They also have a meat and fish counter. I know that some people feel that Nob Hill is pricey but I would rather pay a few extra dollars than have to do all of my shopping at Yucky (oops, I mean Lucky).
