I should have read reviews about this dealership online before I bought my car from them. They are really BAD. NEVER go to Menlo Mazda. Protect your money and yourself. The reviews describe how the Menlo Mazda guys are rude and what a liar are truth. This review comes at a price. I learned the lesson paid...
This use to be a good dealership and I have written a good review in the past, but it has changed hands and the atmosphere, service and costs are horrible. You walk in their showroom and it's obvious they don't care if they sell a car. Horrible dealership. I need a safety inspection on my car. Mazda was going to charge me $750.00. Another dealership will only charge 170.00. Mazda is a ripoff!
Do not buy from this dealership. I purchased a 2004 BMW M3 and was promised several items in writing at time of purchase which they attempted to back out of when I returned to have the work completed. Additionally, both the salesman (no longer there) and the finance guy, Alex Golter, told me the car underwent a safety inspection and that the car had a least 60% brake life left. Four months and 4k miles later, the brake pad replacement light came on. After calling the service department and reviewing the records from the initial inspection, it turns out that it only had 40% at time of sale. Despite the fact that they recognized their own mistake, no one at the dealership will take responsibility.
In Jaunary my husband friend and I went to go buy a car. We tried to leave several times because they were not giving us the deal we wanted. So the last time we go to leave we get half way to our car about 8 of the men that work there including the manager (or owner I am unsure) came out and got in my husbands face. (Mind you we are only 22 years old, and these men were all in there 30??s and 40??s and are pretty big guys.) They then made fun of our credit scores saying we would never find financing with our credit reports. Then the manager called me ugly and said I deserved my husband because he was ugly too, and that no one would ever look at us. They said that we were rude and called us several names. Finally we got in the car to drive off and they started making fun of the car we were driving. I can??t believe about 8 grown men at a company would chase down kids and get in the faces and threaten them just for not buying a car.
my fiance financed a car through an on line finacier and picked out a car at menlo mazda. the address where he was to send the first payment to doesn't exist and neither menlo mazda or the financier co will give him the necessary info. he sought the info out w/ a lawyer and tried mailing a payment where they thought it should go, the check never reached that destination.
It was lost in the mail. Now he just going to hand them back the truck before they repo the veh and it ruins his credit any more than it already has. my advice to you is to stay as far away as possible
CONS: they are definitely not what they portray themselves to be
We had a terrible experience at Menlo Mazda. We finalized our deal for a mazda minivan at this place. We selected the color of our car, make, etc and things were all verbally settled. BUt when we sat down to sign the agreement, the entire scenario changed. They said that they never promised us any deal, just said that they would try to get us what we want. FInally on papers the color was different, the make was different. They treated us like shit and offered us a deal for what we want for a meagre thousand bucks. We were really freaked out and left within a few minutes. The manager who created the entire scene at this place is named "Drew." Don't even dream of dealing with him.
