I had a terrible experience with this optical store. I took my son there for frames/lenses and was told it would take 2 weeks for them to arrive and they would call me. Two and a half weeks past and no word. I finally call them and were told it would be another week. Once they arrived we went to pick them up and found they were different than the ones we had tried on in the store (different color, size). They were so small he could not get them around his cheeks. When I asked why they were different the staff said they did not want to give us the ones on display at the store so they ordered a different pair (which they did not have him try on) and sent them off to get lenses (which is why there was another week's delay). I told them these glasses were useless since he could not wear them and I was told I would have to pay for the lenses regardless if I took the glasses or not since they were made to fit those particular frames. My insurance pays for lenses every 2 years so my son would either go without glasses for 2 year or I would have to pay out of pocket. I called my insurance and complained about this facility. DO NOT GO HERE. The office staff I spoke with acted like they could care less about the inconvenience, cost to me, or the fact these were corrective glasses for a child. I never got so much as an "I'm sorry". I finally demanded they put these lenses in the original frames in the store so my son would be able to see and we could get out of this place. I work in the medical profession and have NEVER dealt with a facility like this, nor do I ever want to again.

I have been going to Vision First Eye Care in Fremont Ca. for about twenty years now. I have always been very pleased with the services that they provided me with, which is why I keep going back to them. I get my eyes check, buy glasses and contact lens with them. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Appointments are easy to make. You can bring in your glasses for free frame adjustments and the technicians have always done a wonderful job for me. I see below where someone had a bad experience but I never had. I had several different glasses adjusted (4 to 6 adjustments) all done well, fitting perfect. They have a nice selection of frames to choose from. They also do contacts and you can buy them in various colors if you choose. I just made another eye exam appointment for this Wednesday with Vision First Eye Care. I would recommend them.

I like their original name which is still on the building: Eye Land. I've been going to this place for about 10 years now. They have the best service! Best in town guaranteed! The front desk is very friendly and polite. The optometrist is excellent! She thoroughly examines my eyes and precribes the proper corrective procedures. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Appointments are easy to make and the wait is usually very short. The staff is very helpful. They helped me pick out a pair of new glasses that look wonderful. Highly recommended! Two thumbs way up!

The optical store portion of this medical office is set up nicely, they have a large array of designer sunglasses and glasses. The optometrist's expertise is adequate for most purposes. You can get an eye exam appointment without too much hassle. The only problem I have with this office is that the lens technician was sorely undertrained in inexperienced. I believe that she may have just been just a receptionist that was allowed to wield the lens tools. I brought my glasses in for an adjustment because they were slipping off my nose. The 'technician' tried to use a metal tool at first and then resorted to just using her hands to bend my glasses back severely at the nosepiece. I could have just done that myself. They were irreparably damaged, to this day I still cannot get them to a proper shape.
