This place is awful, they DO pressure you into buying things you don't need and then tell you later you need to spend more money to fix whatever it is they put in your vehicle. I am being as honest as I possibly can, the reviews on this site make it look like a trustworthy place, when in reality they are rude, like to overcharge. Stay away from Steve and Joe aka jaba and save money.

Brian and his installer Tony did an awesome job installing an Escort 9500ci and a Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth unit into my Aston Martin Vanquish S. After we agreed on a reasonable price for the units and the install, things got complicated: it turned out that the entire front bumper had to be pulled to mount the escort front sensors. Brian sourced a shop that was familiar with Astons and got the job completed professionally. I know they put a lot more hours into this than were originally spec'd, but they kept they're end of the bargain and delivered impeccable personal service throughout the process.

If you have an exotic that needs this type of professional attention, Pacific on Topanga is the place to go.
Thanks, guys!

My review will to the point. Nice people with lots of experience never pressured into something that I was not sure of. If your trying to upgrade a stock stereo, this is where you want to go. Or you could take your chances and go to Frys or Best Buys. I just dont want some pimple face teenager with a green mowhawk tearing up my ride. I don't care about how fast they do it even though my install was done in a half a day. No problems and now my ipods through stereo sounds incredible.

I have 3 Honda Accord. At different times I went to have a Parrot Blue Tooth installed on all 3 cars. They did excellent job. The equipment works great. Once my remote broke, Pacific Stereo gave me a new one at no charge. I have also gone there several times with general questions, they have helped me smillingly all the times. I reccomed these people to all for best prices and great services.

On the spur of the moment, I wanted to get a stereo installed on a Sunday. I called around and found Pacific Stereo open and willing to do it. I had already priced out the unit that I wanted and Steve gave it to me for a fair price. Then his guys performed a very complicated install that required creating a leather plate in the dash. I watched football at a great sports bar across the street as they did the work. Everything turned out great. I returned six months later and had some more work done on my other car. Once again, a great experience.

For several months I have been scoping out a new stereo system for my '96 Lincoln Town Car. My main hobby is in Live Concert Sound Production, so I felt at least semi knowledgeable about what quality sounds like. I have shopped around to several well known names such as Crutchfield, Al & Ed's Autosound, Fry's Electronics, Galpin Auto Sports, and Best Buy. No competitors quality and customer service can compare. My story involved a trip I made to Fry's Electronics. I was there early one morning to see if they had a demo of the head unit I was interested in. I walked around for an hour, and reluctantly a service member finally caught on to my browsing. I asked him if he had the unit I was looking for in stock. Their representative told me they didn't have it, and recommended me to a business I had not heard of called Pacific Stereo, that had a much larger selection. It was nearby and I figured there would be no harm in browsing. The representative I met with was Steve. I had talked to him for a little and explained that I wanted to do a full system redo with an amplifier, new speakers, head unit and sub. He told me no problem and he pulled out the head unit I was interested in, I contemplated the features incorporated with that unit and compared them to a competing brand I had also read about, which I also asked him to pull out. I read the features and decided I wanted to put together a package, just to see how much the whole system would have cost, which I had attempted to do at the above listed locations. I then asked him about speakers, I had heard of a few high quality name brands, but I had not heard how those sound in comparison to other standing push button units you can hear at any store. I walked out to show him my car and current setup up, and the he asked me to follow him. We walked up to a very nice car, and he said get in. It was his personal car, not a stand in a store or even a company owned car. It was HIS personal car. He then played a few very clear and clean tracks. I was absolutely amazed, not only with the quality but because he took me directly to and environment that is applicable, so I could see first hand what it sounded like. After that we went back into the store, and discussed the rest of how I wanted my car set up. I was not as knowledgeable about the quality of the other components and attempted to pick his brain about what items were quality. He was VERY knowledgeable regarding each aspect of the system. He knows what quality is and what would work well together in my environment. We then get to talking price. My system included A Pioneer AVIC z110B Navigation system, a pair of Focal 165Kr2's for my front set, a pair of Focal Access 690ca1's for my rear speakers, a JL 10We-V3 10"" subwoofer, and an Alpine PDX-5 Channel Amplifier to power it all . At most other stores I had tried that system would cost, without installation, approximately $4,000 - $4,500. In good faith for the business and competition, I will not say the exact amount I payed for everything, but I have authorized Steve to not only allow patrons to contact me and ask, but to even see my set up if they would like. Due to the nature and scope of work, the whole job took just under a business day. I am absolutely thrilled with the work, courtesy and professionalism of their business, I wholeheartedly recommend them to ALL people looking to perform any aftermarket service to their vehicle! They are my new ""go-to"" guys. A+ 5 Stars.

I went to Pacific Stereo because they have been in the same location for years, so I figured they must have decent prices and good quality installation. Obviously I did not read any online reviews 'cuz I wish I had never made that choice.

Long story short, my newly restored truck has jacked-up carpet that the installers ruined, they removed an amp that was already inside my truck instead of hooking it up as agreed, my brake light remains on when it worked perfectly before and their attitude was the same to me as in the other reviews- horrible!

Dont waste your money or time with Pacific Stereo in Woodland Holls!!

Cons: false pricing, damage to car, no call backs as promissed

My wife had a 12 disk JVC changer and head unit installed about 8 years ago, and the price was low and they did a good job.

Last month I bought a Pioneer 3100 head unit (CD player with iPod/USB hook on face) from Pacific Stereo. Before I went in I called them for the price. They said that they would match the price I had AND include free installation. The person on the phone said that I should talk with Omar or Steve. I went into the store and spoke with Steve, and he said it would be free installation at THEIR price. I thought the original deal (matched price and free install) was too good to be true.

Even with a nominal install fee ($40) I ended up with a very good price. They even fixed a speaker that wasn't working with a little prodding. Overall, I think they do offer competitive pricing and the installation was well done. I would use them again, just be clear on what you are getting for your money and shop around, I think you will find that they are hard to beat.

I'm not sure why the other people on this forum are grumbling so much. These guys are local and worthy of your business.

Cons: Price wasn't exactly what was quoted over the phone

I have to say that Pacific Stereo is, perhaps, the best shop in town. Pacific Stereo's customer service is top notch [and, in particular, Omar, David and Steve were friendly and went above and beyond to meet my needs], selection is huge, varied and reasonably priced, and installation was perfect. I have highly recommended and will continue to recommend Pacific Stereo to all of my family and friends. Thank you Pacific Stereo! Will see you soon...hopefully, for some holiday shopping.

I shouldve used my gut instincts the moment I walked into this place. The owner (big fat guy, mid eastern descent) was on the phone for a long while I was there and couldnt even take a second to acknowledge me. Of course, he was accommodating at first when he saw that I was interested in buying something. But after the installation, wow, what a hassle it was for me to come back because something was wrong. His installers were people that were fired from another shop that a friend of mine used to work at. (Wish I would've known that sooner before having them touch my car.) All of you should do this if you are considering Pacific Stereo. Before you buy any product, walk up to the installers and check out their demeanor and the way they talk to you. I guarantee you that you will see arrogance and attitude the moment you make eye contact with them. Now picture telling them that your system isnt working right a few days after you installed it. If you still cant picture them being rude to you AFTER they got your money, then you deserve to be a patron of this place!

Pros: Great place to get ripped off

Cons: Horrible service. (At least rip me off with a smile.)

.

The worst audio shop I have ever encountered. This store is the biggest rip off with the people running it some of the most un-edjucated people in the world. They are scam artists who only understand and care about how they can rip you off and jack prices up and get you to pay them. Never purchase anything from this store I am saving you alot of hassel and regret. Pacific stereo, shame on you. You should not legally be allowed to operate and scam people the way you do. Worst epuiptment (they will sell you discontinued products) worst service, worst audio store in California.

Very quick and quite thorough.

And good in matching prices too.

Everything about them is superb!!!!

Oh and the weather on this side of the valley is quite warm in the summer months so dress accordingly.

Like all the other reviews on here... This place only cares about one thing... your money. Once they have your money, they could care less what happens to you or the crappy installation they provided. I'd avoid this place at all cost. Several other businesses in the area that are much better than this one!

This place fulfilled every worst nightmare about bad service I could have imagined!!! They'll say anything to get your money (or have you finance the equipment), and then like a lightswitch, they transform into people who just dont care about you or your ride. I'd avoid this place like the plague.
