First. the wine is good. Second. The tasting room experience is bad - bush-league at its best. We were a group of 11 patient fun people. Arrived in the tasting room near closing and received a brusk push to the register to pay-up for the tasting. The tasting room manager first tried to over charge us, but that was corrected after providing a little example and count for her ($5 x 11 = 55). Just after, the server was moving so fast to get us through the tasting that it felt like he was throwing the wine at our glasses hoping to get a drop in. We asked him to slow down, and to his credit he caught himself and did take more care. Two people had missed a pour (because they were going so fast) and the server told us that the bottle was empty and they didn't plan to open another bottle. We approached Amy the tasting room manager asking her assistance, and she was immediately rude and said sorry we are done. We ask for our money back for those two, she huffed at us and she literally threw two $5 bills at us.

Third. We left immediately and missed the sale of several bottles (that is why we were there in the first place). Really bad experience for what is a pretty good wine. The economy isn't in good shape and there are plenty of people who need jobs that are willing and capable of providing good if not great service. I hope the owners of this winery catch a clue and read some of the other dissatisfied posts. There are plenty of other good wines at their prices (not cheap) available at California restaurants. I'll have to skip Papapietro wine choice on the wine menu for a while until we can get that bad taste of experience out of our mouth.

This small tasting room is absolutely adorable..The family friendly environment is great although I prefer not to take my children. some might. The dogs wandering around make a casual comfy homey atmosphere. And the iwne is good!!!

Okay next to Domaine Carneros' 1997 Famous Gate Pinot this is my favorite. This is a tiny tiny tiny (did I already say tiny) little tasting room. We visited in Janauary so I have no idea what it is like during peak season. But the owner was so friendly and so was the tasting room dog. They have a couple of Pinot's but the 2003 Peter's Vineyard was my hands down favorite. Definitely check this place out. They are fairly new, started as a garage winery and just grew.
