The Apts are nice...expensive tho it's true...the water runs red/orange for about 3 minutes when we return after only 2 days!
Mice, even...and the most disgusting is how the people bathe YES bathe in the pool!

And the Internet, which we at for with the price pay! Is horrible! I think we had to complain 5 times and then we'd be referred to their "tech" dept.

And, apt life as it is , the walls are super thin! You can smell the stench from the neighbors insence

I could go on and on...but, the bedbugs may carry us away.

Oakwood took a few actions and brought a few times Orkit to get rid of

Pros: Nice pool area and good maintenance

Cons: Lack of the management responsability and expensive

Stayed at one of Oakwood's furnished apartments for a summer-- I've heard that it is expensive, but since it was paid for by my company, I'm not complaining. The furnished apartments are done very well-- luxurious bedding, all the appliances//kitchen utensils you could possibly need, tastefully arranged furniture. I do wish the pans they gave us were nonstick, but that was not a huge deal. The pool was nice, although I do suspect there were a lot of neighborhood kids that came in and used it from time to time. Many of the residents there are also quite interesting...

Oakwood is corporate housing - which means they have furnished apartments and options for all utilities paid. They have 2 pools, one of them is heated and beautiful. They have a spa and a work out facility which is pretty flimsy, but passable.

The biggest problem with this facility is the plumbing. It is outdated and faulty and I had many problems with it as a tenant. Because of this, I would recommend Oakwood if you need a place to stay for a few nights (if you are displaced or here on business) but don't sign up for the 9 month lease! Even if you go to Pepperdine (and get a discount) and it seems cheap to stay there, it's not! You are better off somewhere else...

PROS: Nice staff, great pool and b-ball courts
CONS: Plumbing is terrible, way too expensive, crazy neighbors
