Clancy's is great seafood restaurant. The week day specials are worthwhile, and the bread is amazing. The crab legs are killer!

I would imagine that this place was once a really nice restaurant. The food was just okay and nothing to write home about and the wine selection left a lot to be desired. The biggest turn-off about this place was the restrooms. I don't think I have ever been in a more disgusting bathroom (other than a gas station) in my life. I wanted to take a shower when I got home. There are too many good seafood places available to waste your time on this place.

The atmosphere can be quite loud at times, since the sports bar is near the dining area, but the service is great and the food is fantastic as well. I recommend the crab soup!

I really liked the place over all. Just a bit on the slow side for service. Food took about twenty minutes but definately worth the wait.

To be fair we came in at 2 pm so it may have just been the fact that they were ready to close down by 3 or something. But man it was fresh crab and the callamari was excellent!!!!

Try the 1 and 1/2 pound of snow crab legs. Pretty good deal and very tasty.

Great seafood with a variety of choices. Their ceasar salad leaves a lot to be desire & They're are a bit expensive for what you get. However, if you want good crab, I highly suggest Clancy's. They are conveniently located & parking is not a problem. They get very busy. I suggest you call ahead to amke reservations for lunch & dinner.

This is the kind of joint with plastic bibs and sawdust on the floor -- which is exactly what we were looking for. The sweet rolls they gave us and the crab stuffed mushrooms we ordered were the perfect way to start a meal.
The mushrooms were juicy and served in a deliciously creamy gravy. My dining companion and I shared the 2 1/2 pound bucket of crab legs, which were nicely sized, and it was the perfect amount. They were very fresh and came with two sides. We opted for broccoli, which was steamed to perfection, as well as mashed potatoes which were made from scratch and seasoned lightly with garlic and butter.
Clancy's also has a great dessert selection. We chose the creme brulee, which was characteristically light and creamy and was topped with mandarin orange slices.
In the end, the price wasn't bad and we'll definitely be going back.

When I want a great seafood dinner, I will normally force my husband to drive to Redondo Beach. But, if I'm looking for good and consistent seafood, we'll head to Clancy's every time. I'm not the biggest fan of their New England Clam Chowder...but I'm always up for freshly shucked oysters on the 1/2 shell and steamed king crab legs with clarified butter for dipping. This restaurant (and especially the bar) is always crowded. If you can get there for an early evening they have early dining discounts. Also, earlier this year they started recurring weekly specials for dinner. My husband enjoys Fried Shrimp Night...Tuesdays, I believe. The waitstaff here is usually friendly, accommodating and courteous. On a busy night, parking is scarce, even when using the public lot across the street.

good place to eat. food was good fresh fresh. price is good not overly pricey but not cheap either. i think that you pay a little more than what you get but not by much.
the service was good, our waiter was a bit blunt and boarder line rude but he was being real. atmosphere is very casual. they have a lobster tank and sawdust on the floor. we went on a friday at 7:30pm and they were very very busy. so make reservations

Clancy's is a great restaurant for lunch and dinner. They have really yummy clam chowder (New England style) and lobster bisque. At dinner, they serve these fried bread rolls that are highly addicting. Make sure you save room for your entree though. I would recommend the salmon, fried shrimp or fish and chips, and their pasta specials. They also have daily specials for a discounted price. Be sure to check out their website before going. They have early bird prices, but you have to be seated between 5:00 and 5:15 pm on weekdays.

Here is another restaurant i've been going to since I was a kid. I love just picking something from their specials...i've never been disappointed. Also, it's just great to have oysters and a beer here. The fish and chips are really good too!

The sports bar at Clancy's is the highlight here. Ten plus TVs showing all of the big games. A huge beautiful bar with giant whale bones as a centerpiece.
Clacny's serves some tremendous dishes, Chilean Seabass with potato crusting is to die for. The make good strong drinks and have a great staff.
If you are a seafood and a sports fan this the place to be. Try to grab a spot at the bar, as the bartenders are down to earth true sports fans. It gets full quickly so show up early.
The servers there get spread a little thin with the ibg crowds, but the food is always top notch.

For appetizers, we had the oyster shooter which was good, the lobster bisque was average (too much cream). I had the crab cakes which is below average and my girlfriend had mahi mahi which was too salty. probably won't go back

A friend told me I should check this place out, and I've fallen in love! Seafood is fresh, preparation is excellent, prices are reasonable, service has always been great, and there is plenty of parking in their lot right behind the building. What more do you want? Not pretentious at all, very laid back. I highly recommend the Lobster Bisque with whatever meal you choose. If you're just looking for a laid back bar, check this place out, too. Plenty of TVs to watch the games (Monday Night Football is big, as are Sundays, with several nice new flat screens), and the bartenders are all really cool.

First off, the fish is fresh, which is very important to me, but all of the execution was off. The deep fried bread is tasty I guess but deep fried bread just seems wrong. The cedar plank salmon glaze was way too sugary, crabcakes were salty and undercooked too. The ahi sushi roll was way too rich with excessive amounts of mayonaise. It would appear that they tend to go overboard culinarily, except with the side vegetables, which were simple and quite tasty.

Sawdust on the floor...crabs & lobsters in the tank...this place is laid-back and fun. Its a very relaxed environment. The bar area is always packed, and the food in the restaurant is yummy. The prices are really reasonable, and I think this would be a great place to host a dinner get together. Looks like they've improved their dining since April.

The person that gave Clancy's a "3" must have been there on a particularly bad night, as I have never found it to be greasy or too expensive.

Just last week I ordered the "Seafood Sauté" which consisted of crab, giant shrimp and scallops over an oversized portion of fettuccini with cream sauce. At a cost of $17.00 it wasn't a bad deal -I took enough pasta home for two more meals.

But my favorite trip to Clancy's is on a weekend afternoon. I sit in the bar area to watch "the game" (it doesn't really matter what game it is), and then proceed to order a pint of cold beer, an appetizer of popcorn shrimp (the remoulade is scrumptious) and a Caesar salad.

With its cliched decor, you'd think Clancy's was just another neighborhood chowder house. Initial impressions aside, it proves to be an accomplished restaurant offering many creative dishes---not to mention first-rate Boston-style clam…
