I agree with Aimee's review below -- this place is not great. I grew up in the neighborhood and have come here a number of times, but it's really not worth the trip. One time I got a quesadilla and the cheese wasn't even melted! If you're nearby and want Mexican, check out El Balazo -- not terrific but much better than this one!

This restaurant is not ideal for Mexican food! I would nto recommend any of the Mexican restaurants in the Haight! If you want exceptional Mexican food in San Francisco you have to go to the Mission!

Zona Rosa is a small taco shop on the last block of Haight before you reach the park. Less of a sit-down restaurant, more of a taco stand. The inside of the restaurant is warm and brightly decorated, and the service is welcoming and friendly. Tacos are delicious and cheap.

This place hits the spot and is super cheap! The salsa is homemade and very good! I had the nachos, which are huge and definitely enough to feed 2 people. All of the ingredients are right out in front and you watch them make the food.

Zona Rosa makes unbelievably tasty burritos. They are the best you can get in the Haight, and maybe in all of San Francisco. I can't get enough!!

I've heard so much about this place over the years, and it still fails to deliver. The burritos are soggy, and overall the quality is poor. The saving grace of this place is its carnitas.

Good and healthy food. Fresh vegetables. Generous portion - comes with nacho. The nachos are hard though.
I've been here several times. I tried tamales and tacos. One taco, which has 2 tortillas, is big enough to fill me up.
Their salsa

When I first got my carne asada burrito, I thought it looked a little small. Wow, was I wrong! The food was delicious, and I was almost hungover with how much food I tried to consume in one sitting! Ah, pure gluttony.

On a sunny day in San Francisco, there are few things better than ordering a pinto bean, cheese and rice burrito at ZR, drenching it with salsa, and walking across to the park to eat it while watching kids play soccer and neo-hippies strum
