Marty's Hobbies has been around forever. I am 22 years old and I remember shopping here when I was a kid. I tried everything from slot cars, R/C Cars, R/C Boats, R/C Airplanes, R/C Helicopters, and gliders. Marty's Hobbies has always been there for me with great knowlege and awesome customer support. If I ever had a problem (which was almost never) they were there to bake me up 100%. For the person who is doging Marty's Hobbies, you should deal with a different person. The gentelmen you explained has helped me countless time with a great attitude. Ask the person what the specialize in and I am sure you will find the right person. Thanks Marty's!! KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!!!!!

As an "x" customer of this store, I can honestly say that for all the times I've shopped here (more than 10 times), never not once have I ever had a thank you at purchase time from a guy who works here (skinny guy with a mustache), never a hello or anything. I used to come in and spend a minimum $50.00 on model train items every visit. My recent visit convinced me that I need to go back to The Train Shack in Burbank, who also have a much larger selection of model trains and accessories. As a small business owner, I go the extra mile to give great customer service, and especially to repeat customers. This guy never says a word and just kind of grunts like a caveman. I'm shopping now at The Train Shack, a little bit extra drive time but the people here are very friendly and say thank you. Goodbye Marty's !

Marty's Hobbies has been a staple of Thousand Oaks since I was a child. I used to stop by here on the way home from school and play the video game they had in the store and check out all of the models. Now I stop in the store with my son. In this every changing area it is so nice to have a place with some history to it in town. This is a great little shop that sells models and model kits. I mainly use the store for purchasing car model kits. They have basic kits which are good for young kids and then more elaborate kits for the advanced hobbies such as myself. They also have planes, trains, and other hobby related material. And great staff to boot!

PROS: great staff. long history in the community
CONS: none
