Too crammed and smokey. The slots are very tight. I truly believe that they "regulate" on who wins. The so-called jackpots are average but few gamers win. I will not waste my hard earn money on such a corrupt casino- AND especially since it's so far off the beaten path.

Be fair warned that this is not a luxury liner... First of all, it is very important to way out the pros & cons before taking this form of transportation- costs, convenience, cleanliness, friendliness, professionalism, etc
The bus we boarded left from Panorama City (first come first serve) arrive at least 45 min before the departure time to obtain a seat, be sure to have cash of $11 for RT; no back-up bus if full.
Smelly bathroom, no lock, no lite, no sink, NO paper! Rude riders who think their names are on the seats- 1st come 1st served!
First and Last time taking this transpo- almost had big fight with riders.

Be careful if you are trying to take their so called luxury liners as some of them fill up fast & they offer no back up buses. Often times you cannot get on the buses unless you catch them at their first stop, often not in your area. The buffet is great, aside from the lines, but they sure have tightened up their slots. They used to pay way more often.

Valley View Still the Best!

I love VV. But, it is getting way too crowded. There just aren't enough machines to go around. I would NOT recommend you go to Pauma. The service is lousy and the food is not good...I hear VV is going to reconsider the status of some "elite" card holders. This would be terrible to do. Everyone has paid their dues and those of us who can no longer afford to play at the "maximum" should not be punished. We are in a recession. I will continue to visit VV, but not as much...The concerts are okay but can't you invest in at least 2 more "megatron" TV's? What about the smell? Anyway, the buffet is still wonderful and for the most part the slot attendants are pretty helpful.

Do not park in the valet. They will damage your car. I parked my car in the valet and the employees bold face lied to management about damaging my car. I have a ruined bumper on my 1 year old car. Damages are estimated at $527.64!!! They refuse to pay for the damages. Do not GO TO VALLEY VIEW unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars to have your car fixed!!!

I've been going to VV since 2003 and it was always my favorite casino. The slot machines were fairly lively and the food was always good. But now it's turned into a gigantic sardine can with super tight machines(I guess they want to pay for the hotel and the other additions) They still give the best comps and their food is great but if you want to gamble I'd go to Pauma or if you want a nice drive, go up the coast to Chumash(pretty loose machines). Payoffs are very scarce at VV nowadays.

They have lost touch with their customers. Its now about cramming so many people like sardines. They cant make up their mind from one waitress to the next how much drinks cost.. Yes their buffet is good but wait in line for 3 to 4 hours it is sure not worth it. Their concerts are outside in a parking lot and are very disorganized and downwind from the chicken farm..Phew bring a towel or something to help you breath. To top it all off their machines are so tight they make cruise ships casinos look loose. I have been with Valley View since the beginning and I am sad to say there are many other good casinos in San Diego I would try a different one first.

This buffet is truly incredible. I discovered Valley View Casino's buffet many years back and have been going through all of the transitions up to the current newest version, now called The Buffet, and each time I don't think they can make it better...and then they do!!

First of all, a visit to Valley View makes you feel like you are visiting old friends, even if you don't go often at all. People remember you, smile and say hello and actually remember to ask about whatever you may have talked to them about the last time you were there (even if it was month's before). Everyone from the doorman, cashiers, seaters, buffet workers and the chef is oozing with hospitality and genuine friendliness.

Then...you're seated at one of the very comfortable new booths in the room with decor and lighting and you get up to discover the buffet.... oooooh...and what a buffet it is. Endless choices of all sorts of items from fillet mignon, Asian offerings, Mexican offerings, Italian offerings, pizza bar, seafood, shrimp, crabs legs, an abundance of salads, fresh berries, pineapple, apricots, melon...and then there's the desserts... Tiramasu to die for, cakes, pies, tarts, varied flavors of ice cream to make your own cones or sundaes, freshly dipped chocolate covered strawberries -- I could go on and on. If I lived closer, I'd be in trouble as I'd go way more often.

If you've never been, be sure to take advantage of the free buffet for new Player's Club members and if you have been, be sure to take advantage of a free buffet anytime during the month of your birthday.

You owe it to yourself to check this out. Greet Mary and/'or Teresa at the cashier station, make sure to wave at Li behind the dessert bar, who makes sure there's not a space uncovered, get to know some of the managers (Kit, Theresa, Tony). Take your time and sample as much of the food as you can handle. But be careful, it's addicting.

Valley view looks like a broken down barn until you get inside where the dollar machines jump out at you like a cheesy vegas movie. That is until you enter the buffet. We love Vegas buffets and this is the closest you get outside of Vegas and is better than some of the vegas ones. The food is fresh, well prepared and extremely varied. 100+ items to choose from. Mark Grant from the Padres tv broadcast team loves it and there is good reason. The price is great and you are close to Harrah's, Pala, and Pauba if you want to gamble at a nicer place after.

A very nice gesture that this casino provides is that they give you money if you go to their casino on their buses. If you live far away and decide to take the Valley View Casino Bus, they give you 5 dollars at the door. There are not a ton of card tables but they make up for that in the slot department. They offer so many different slot machine games.

The Valley View Casino is another casino in Southern California owned by the Indians. This particular casino is owned by the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians. Valley View Casino offers a players club to reward gamblers who visit frequently. The Market Square Steak and Seafood Buffet attract many people, not just for its steak and seafood buffet, but also for its chocolate fountain. The chocolate fountain at the Valley View Casino is a unique, hidden feature that not everyone who visits the casino is aware of. Slot machines, blackjack, and poker are just a few of the gaming experiences that you will find at the Valley View Casino.

On a Tuesday night, luckily we left 2 hours early from north county. Between bad traffic, very poor parking accomodations, being herded through the smoky casino we barely made it to our seats on time. It was obvious that they only care about raking in your $$$'s. NEVER going back.

The worst traffic / crowd management of any venue I have ever seen. The music venue is outdoors, but they funnel everyone through the smoky casino for both the entrance and the exit. Took 30 minutes to get out of the seating area after the show. Ridiculous amount of time for such a small venue. Forrest Gump could have figured out a better way to do that. Managment morons. Will never go back.
