.

Okay, where do I start? First off, upon moving to the AV in April 2010, based on many "great" reviews I read about Bronze Bunz, I decided to join.
I have tanned for many years, my last membership was in the valley at Insatiable Sun for over 2 yrs.
Insatiable staff is friendly, the salon is kept clean, they provide baby wipes, tanning goggles, hand towels and they even keep your lotion behind the counter for you.
I do modeling and prefer to keep up my tan at least twice a week and use the Mystic Tan almost every 9 days.
At Bronze Bunz I did appreciate that you could add unlimited spray tanning for only $20.00 on top of my $69.99 mo. platinum package.
Now here are my disappointments, the bad far out ways the good.
When I joined not one employee told me they would be moving locations. I preferred to frequent the Rancho Vista location which has since been closed. I found out they were shutting down the Rancho Vista Location and moving the Lancaster location near 24 hr. fitness. Okay, I wish I had known about all of that before I joined. During the move they offered the Palmdale location, which was super crowded for about a week.
No big deal, but I would have appreciated being informed by the staff (who are always usually rude, except for 1 or 2 girls)
A simple sign saying they would be closing locations and relocating would have been sufficient, I suppose.
I just think it is bad business and lazy on the employees behalf that they did not inform me of the store closures, etc.
As for the tanning beds, they do have some great beds but not sure about the bulbs? The staff always would tell me "the bulbs were new?" but I never got much color?? Before they moved I upgraded my tan to level 6 & 7, NO COLOR AT ALL & I paid an extra $20 each time. The Mystic Spray tan machines were always broken?? so much for the extra $20 I paid.....
Now Bronze Bunz has moved to the "NEW" location.
It seems real safe with the code lock door they have installed, lol. Always nice to stand in the wind until an employee notices you and buzzes you in. Yes, it is new & shiny etc. but again thank you for informing me that you NO LONGER PROVIDE HAND TOWELS!! Some of us like to protect our face when we tan. I do not mind bringing my own towel and usually prefer to, but seems Bronze Bunz had to cut some financial corners and minimize their customer comfort supplies. No hand towels provided, now they have paper towel dispensers. They have never provided eye protection and go as far as to ask you if you brought it with you & make you show them.
Great you care about my safety, but be consistent, always ask.
One day out of the blue a girl asked me, I found it to be quite rude. I had a tanning bag with me, lotion, goggles & nail protectors, Thank you for your concern on that 1 particular day. I have never been asked again.
Since the new store opened, they always tell me the bulbs are new, I hardly get any color? I use Designer skin & California Tan products. I tell them "I will go in the full time" & the girl says "are you sure? the bulbs are new" I'm beginning to think they just say that.
The 1st time I wanted to take advantage of my unlimited spray tan at the new location, I went in for a level 2 bronze & nothing came out? Just water?? I got dressed, brought my hair net & showed it to the girl and said " I don't think the mystic is working??" sure enough it was out of service.... I ended up driving all the way to the Palmdale location to spray there.
Neither the Palmdale location or the Lancaster location had so much as a towel on the floor to step onto?? Seems very unsanitary to me. Usually you need to wipe or pat your body down with a decent size towel after spraying.
I guess Bronze Bunz is taking a hit in today's economy and their staff is lazy and do not know how to properly clean and sanitize a tanning salon. Simple amenities should be provided by the tanning salon such as protective eye wear, hand towels, baby wipes.. otherwise what are we paying for??
Staff is rude, bulbs in beds turn no color, Mystic tan is always breaking down, mystic tan room is never clean, no towel on floor, no towels, except cheap paper towels, no goggles.
Not happy with Bronze Bunz at all, it seemed to be one bad thing after another...
Thank goodness their payment plan can be terminated after 30 days. I joined in early April, I canceled my membership 4 weeks later. Bronze Buns? lol, hardly.

A great small chain of salons, great variety of machines including the S Class, Matrix, Soltron systems. Each salon in the chain has a different line of beds. Memberships include the use of ALL salons. My only beef is that packages, prices, point systems is all VERY confusing at BB. I think the best bet is a EFT membership and a point package for upgrades..... again..... I think.
