Golden Hammer Auto Body

Good work - Bad service.

I took my car in on a Monday and was told my car should be done by the end of the week. On Friday I called and was told it would be done the following Tuesday. I was okay with that, when you dig into a car you find more work, no problem. On Tuesday I called and was told Wednesday. On Wednesday I called and was told Friday. On Friday I called and was told Monday before 2:00. On Monday I was in the area on another appointment so called to see if it was done. This was at 4:00 when I was told it would be done by 2:00. I was put on hold and the call was lost. since I was only two blocks away I was stopped by and got attitude for not waiting for a phone call.

I had been waiting for over two weeks for a phone call about a job that was only supposed to take 4 days. Every contact was one I made. I was told at that time my car was still not done and I would be the first person to know when it was. A half hour after my visit I received a call that my car was complete. By then I was too far away to make it back by 5 and was forced to pay another day for a rental car I had intended to have for only 4 days to begin with.

Things happen and I can handle that. What I will not put up with again is the lack of communication from this business and the attitude I got when trying to receive some indication about when my car would be done and why it took 4 times longer to complete than they had originally quoted. That is something I still do not have an answer too.

I have recently had my Porsche Turbo repaired at Golden Hammer after a horrific accident. The vehicle had so much damage I had my doubts that it could be repaired and ever be the same again. Much to my surprise the guys at Golden Hammer were able to satisfy my fastidious demands and expectations. Mike was most helpful and very very knowledgeable. I hope to never see them again, but plan to send them everybody I know that requires body work or paint.

We had a few scratches on our brand new four door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited due to an accident. I walked into the shop, got prompt attention, and after Mike (I think that's his name...) surveyed the minimal damage, we got it fixed for FREE in under 15 minutes!!!

They just got a customer for life! Highly recommended.

Being a car enthusiast myself and very particular.I would not let anybody else touch my Ferrari or Porsche. Not Cheap but by far the best experience I have ever had with automobiles. Clean shop and very honest and up front.

PROS: Great work, Honest , Easy to deal with, Many exotics being worked on
CONS: Expensive

This is the go-to shop for high end body work. Pricey, not always done very fast, but always done absolutely RIGHT! Now that I can afford a nice car after years of second hand autos there is nowhere else I would take my car for body work.

PROS: Perfect work
CONS: pricey, crowded, slow service...but it's superb every time
