Us East Coast types often mourn the loss of our beloved REAL Italian food when lo, we move out to sunny Cali, but SLIK makes you feel like you have the best of both worlds. You get to have your (pizza) pie and eat it too-- and in the sunshine, to boot! I had SLIK's take out for years before venturing in to their modest resto on Lake, but now I like to go in. The walls are all adorned with images of the great masters-- Ghandi, Einstein, the Dalai Lama...what better way to enjoy your lunch specials than surrounded by greatness???
