Very Classy, decent selection  4 Star Rating - Very good

I didn't buy my dress here, but I might have if I didn't have plans to have it made for me. I tried on dresses here. It was a great experience! The sales people were quite helpful and the setting was so nice. There is a large stage with a mirror and the whole side of the room is windows. I definitely felt special here. Coming from the south bay where the bridal shops are not so classy, it was a definitely worth the drive.

Decent shop 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

This high-end bridal salon is not what it used to be. I remember coming him with my sister in 2001 and getting really pampered. Oh well, times are changing I guess. The sales staff is pretty friendly though not too knowldedgeable ... but the dress selection leaves much to be desired. The salon does have a nice full-length wall mirror to try on your gowns.

Pros: location
Cons: selection

BEST and most elegant bridal salon in San Francisco! 5 Star Rating - World class

From the decor of the salon, to the elegant dresses hanging along the alcove entrance, I knew I would find the dress of my dreams the second I walked into Marina Morrison. Marina Morrison was the first bridal salon I walked into and I was immediately drawn to the Ulla Maia dress. I tried it on and absolutely fell in love with it! I walked out of the salon heavy hearted and empty handed that day, listening to the advice of friends and mother that there might be something better (it was literally the FIRST dress I tried on).

I ended up buying a different dress at a different salon until one fateful day, 45 days before my wedding date, the bridal salon I purchased my dress from decided to go out of business. My dress was gone.... In a panic, I RAN back to Marina Morrison. They patiently listened to my sob story and worked very very hard to get my original dream dress CUSTOM MADE and RUSHED in one month. A couture process that usually takes 6 to 9 months was done for me in 30 days. This happened because of the amazing business partnership with Marina Morrison and the dress designer ULLA MAIJA. Marina Morrison truly cares about their clients, treats them with the utmost respect and care, and will go above and beyond to make your dress buying process as flawless. If there were 10 stars to give out, they would be a 11.

Pros: elegant decor, amazing service, great location
Cons: nothing!

BEST BRIDAL SALON!! 5 Star Rating - World class

Marina Morrison is the ONLY place to find a bridal gown in the city. I searched for weeks and went to a dozen other salons in the city. As soon as I walked into Marina Morrison, I knew I would find a dress. The staff are so wonderful and attentive that they made the experience truly special. I even ended up buying all my bridesmaid dresses there. They took care of everything and shipped all the dresses to my girls. I never worried about anything. My dress was PERFECT! In fact, people still talk about my dress as being the most beautiful wedding dress they have ever seen and it's months after the wedding. Don't both going anywhere else! Ask for Rebecca. She is the BEST! I tell everyone I know who gets engaged to go see her. I don't know what I would have done without her.

Pros: Beautiful gowns. Fantastic service
Cons: The gown are in the $2500 range and up. If you are looking for lower priced gowns this may not be the place for you.

The absolute best in town - do not waste your time going anywhere else!! 5 Star Rating - World class

If I could award more than 5 stars to Marina Morrison, I would!!
I shopped for wedding dresses this spring/summer (2007), and being a very thorough person, I went EVERYWHERE, including Neiman Marcus, Saks, Jin Wang, Bridal Galleria and Marina Morrison. Hands down, Marina Morrison was the BEST. They are true crafts(wo)men, NOT salespeople. At other salons, I felt like the saleswomen were just pushing me to buy the most expensive dress, and every time I tried one on, they would tell me how "fabulous" it looked, and how it must be "the one." How many times can you say that with a straight face?? At Marina Morrison, they asked a lot of questions, helped me figure out what I was looking for, and made sure that I was absolutely in love with the dress I chose. Their comments were so helpful, and they never pushed me toward any particular dress. They could tell (through body language, expressions, etc) which dress I felt happiest in, which is so helpful when you are choosing amongst so many beautiful gowns and having trouble making up your mind. Their advice was honest and heartfelt, but never pushy. And the great customer service did not stop once I selected and paid for my dress. At each of my four fittings, they were so meticulous and thorough with every detail -- you can really tell that they take great pride in their work. They do not stop tinkering until they (and most importantly, YOU) think everything is PERFECT. By the end of the process, my dress was indeed perfect, and fit me like a glove. They even custom-made a garment bag for me, because the skirt on my dress was so full, and they didnt want it to wrinkle in transit.
Bottom line - Marina Morrison has a fabulous selection of couture gowns, spacious and beautiful fitting rooms, thoughtful and experienced saleswomen, and expert fitting managers and seamstresses. If I had to do it all over again, I would skip the other places and go straight to Marina Morrison!!

Pros: Everything -- service, selection, ambience, expertise.
Cons: Not one thing.

Love it!! 5 Star Rating - World class

I just recently purchased a Reem Acra gown at Marina Morrison after being told by so many people that THIS IS THE PLACE to get my gown. It really was the best wedding gown shopping experience I could have imagined. I had been to most of the other salons in San Francisco and none of them compared to the gown selection and service provided by Marina Morrison.

I had the most wonderful experience with my style consultant - Sandy. She was very knowledgeable and guided me through the entire shopping experience. She really cared to find the right gown for me and didn't rush me at all. And unlike my experience at other stores where I felt they just wanted my money, she was more focused on finding the right gown for me instead of just making a sale. Without her guidance I wouldn't have been able to find my perfect wedding gown!

Unless you want to be a clich and wear the same Monique or Vera gown that everyone has worn lately, this is the place to go. They represent the best designers from NY and Europe . I was debating between a Reem Acra and a Peter Langner (from Rome , Italy !) but in the end went with a Reem. I love the beadwork on Reem gowns over any of the other beaded gowns at other stores. It is truly a special store with the most amazing staff.

Pros: quality dresses and service
Cons: absolutely none...you get what you pay for!
