My oldest was rewarded with college scholarships because of a grammar school education steeped in fundamentals that progressed to in-depth academic skills. We attribute her success to the years of good habits ?? effective study, organizational, and communication skills ?? required by her schooling. It was not all work and no play, as the school has wonderful enrichment programs including art, music, foreign language, and sports. Both of my daughters are recent graduates from Old Mission School (OMS). One now attends Mission College Prep (MCP) and the other is in college. They both attended OMS from Pre-K through 8th grade. The education that they received at OMS has been invaluable. The critical thinking skills, introduced at an early age, have allowed them to excel academically. The community service curriculum has given them great heart. We could not be happier with our choices for their education. College acceptances arrived 2 months ahead of the deadline along with offers for merit financial aid. All of the colleges acknowledged her academic standing as well as her co-curricular activities. The years of tuition turned out to be money well invested. . .especially in these economic times.

.

Because the weather on the central coast is so desirable all the classrooms in this school open to the outside. It's tighly associated with the Mission Church and MCP, so that the children can walk down for mass. The teachers seem to be quite good as is shown by the large percentage of students that are accepted and continue on at MCP.
