This has to be the best porridge in SF. If you can read chinese, they have a special only in the morning where you get a bowl of porridge, chow mein, and donuts for under $5.

Just be prepared for some slow service.... I've been going here for years and it's always been like that. If you want some good porridge, come to hing lung... if you want to be served at a snap of your finger, then you better look elsewhere.

We used to live in this city and this is one we missed. We went for the happy hour 3-6pm. The conjee and fried donuts were the best we've ever had. We also ordered the potstickers and shrimp dumpling egg noodle soup and they were fantastic

I often consider rice porridge (congee) as the chicken noodle soup of East Asia. As a child it's the one dish my mother would be guaranteed to make when we were under the weather. For Hing Lung's porridge, I'd GLADLY have a cold if

The food in this resturant is very tasty, but the area and supplies are a bit dirty. Service is also not excellent. Prices are well worth the food, but the area and service is not.

Amazing porridge, some of the best in chinatown, especially with their ultra crispy, hot, fresh chinese doughnuts. The noodle dishes are also amazing! best part, everything is DIRT CHEAP!!!

I think this is the best congee in the City. Their congee with pork and thousand year old egg is the best and their fried donuts are excellent. They have specials in the afternoon where everything is at a set price. Best deal around,

The congee had no taste and consisted pretty much of water, rice and some meat. For $4 you can do better in Chinatown. The chinese doughnuts were pretty good and cheap. Given the myriad of choices of restaurants in Chinatown, I would not
