To Whom so ever this may concern, this is to bring to you kind attention about the blunders that K.Z Kitchen did to us.

We went to the Oakland road location for K.Z Kitchen at San Jose for our Kitchen Cabinets, Counter top and the Flooring, we started dealing with ??JENA?, and finally we chose a model/display kitchen and wanted our kitchen to look exactly like that, we also chose a laminate floor and paid the material costs.

Problem #1: We were not told that we would need to hire a plumber to fit the kitchen sink, Dish washer, microwaves and neither were we told about the cost associated with it?.I hope KZ kitchen would be getting 100s of customers like us who are first time home buyers right? My point is that why did K.Z kitchen hide the plumbing cost from us, had we been told upfront we could have happily paid the thousand odd dollar associated with it. But I believe K.Z and the ARROGANT contractor that K.Z sent to me ??CHEN? had other plans of extracting money so we were not even hinted until the cabinets and the Counter tops were done.

Problem #2: The model kitchen we chose had handles in each and every drawers and cabinet doors, without the handle you would probably need your car keys or a small screw driver to be able to open the drawers and the cabinet doors. In spite of I telling ??JENA? the agent that I want my Kitchen to look exactly the way their model kitchen at their stores, when the installation was complete and I queried about the handles?the arrogant contractor ??CHEN? says?no there will be no handle as you did not order it?., I had to spend another 200 for those going back to the Agent ??JENA?. Wait there is more to it?when I bought the handles?Mr. arrogant contractor ??CHEN? says ?he is going to charge us extra for fitting the handles?and how much??? 300 dollars. You judge for yourself ?isn??t this frustrating?

Problem #3: When we chose our model/display kitchen at the Oakland road store in San Jose, I SPECIFICALLY told JENA the agent that I want soft close for all the cabinets, but again Mr. Great Arrogant contractor ??Chen? says?JENA did not tell him anything and there will be no soft close.

Problem #4: Cabinet doors are fitted improperly so imagine I open a cabinet door and want to open another cabinet door the other cabinet door kind or tries to rip open the hinge with a loud squeak.

Problem #5: BIGGEST PROBLEM NOW: Within less than ten days of days of installation and payment on some of the laminate pieces there are bumps on the laminate of the size of 1-2 centimeters, when we went back to ??JENA? the agent we were told that their installer shall try to replicate the problem and if they cannot replicate they cannot do anything, she also forwarded me to one ??Jennifer Tran?(408-441-1288) and she turns out to be the limit of arrogance, she claims that I have put buckets of water to the floor and they are not responsible?and may I know why would I do that to my own home???? She finally hung up on me.
SO DOES THIS MEAN DOING A KITCHEN or FLOOR FROM KZ means going crazy and hire another vendor to fix it??

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Money Repper, Cheap quality

.

Quality is very poor. They have been told that they have everything in stock and installed in instalments due to lack of material. They forced us to buy more granite saying granite is natural and the color does not match. while ordering they said they have same color in stock. After installation with in one week, doors gave tweeking sound and the doors came off.

Staff at KZ are friendly. Service is good but the quality is not good. If you want to have the kitchen for mor ethan 5 years, this is not a good one.

The service is good. (Helped by Talley) We went through many corrections and all. As for the quality of the cabinet, based on low price cabinets from China, we felt that it was the best quality in the SF bay area. It's not the cheapest, but the finish seems to be better than the others, the coating finish seems to be thicker. After the delivery, we were a little disappointed because the sidings to cover the side of the cabinets have really bad finish, but they agreed to exchange for us. Three of the sidings also were out of stock and will take about 1 month eventhough we were told they were in stock when we purchased them.
As the cabinets being installed.

If look is #1 priority, they get the job done, if quality and druability is what you look for, try those sell by Home Depot.

All in all, KZ is not as good as they used to be (per our contractor), the warehouse didn't provide any service and my contractor has to dig stuff out himself and load it himself. He said they used to help loading and moving cabinets for customers.
