Pros: Bottomless mimosas

Cons: Terrible service

I visited SF from Chicago months ago and still cant stop talking about Lime. Myabe bc it was so unexpected. Talk about an after party?! The bottomless mimosas for the price of one, the "spark-plug" shots, the club music, beautiful people, cool service, good food, it was all hot!
The bad thing about Lime is that we dont have one in Chicago :-(

Pros: Keep the party going

Lime is a party for the morning after you were at a party. There are bottomless mimosas and delicious breakfasts. The menu for breakfast is a little limited, but everything is tasty. I got the frittata and it was huge and great! There is music and dancing and lots of attractive men. The wait staff is very fun and lively too. If you want to cure that hang over head over to Lime for some mimosas.

Lime is a great spot! The food is tasty & reasonably priced. The menu is small but everything on it is yummy--especially the tuna poke, fish tacos & mini burgers. The ambiance is fun & casual. Good for a date night or with a group.

I always have a good time when I eat here - it's just a fun place. Anywhere I can order mini-burgers, grilled cheese with tomato soup, and deviled eggs is high on my list...

Fabulous all around- decor and food! I had my birthday dinner here and had the best time- delicious food and fun place. The inside of restaurant is very colorful and lively and filled with men. We had almost everything on the menu and rounds of peach bellini to keep us happy. One of my favorite restaurants in the bay area, definitely would go back!

Colorful, fun and fresh. Great friendly service. The decor is fun and lively. The small plates are diverse. You can have anything from mini grilled cheese to mouthwatering filet mignon. The mini cupcakes are decedent.

This bright, neon-hot spot didn't upset. with only a few tables to dine at, there was a nicely sized bar area. friendly staff made for an enjoyable dinner. the decor with bright citrus colors and white plastic deco chairs at the bar are sure to keep you on your toes. tiny plates, good selection and food that lived up to the hype. filet slices were my favorite but definitely skip the red velvet cupcakes for desert.

We were prepared to dislike Lime, becuase of all the hype. What a surprise!

Yes, it was a little loud, but after you got used to the noise, you realized it was part of what made the scene fun. A young, hip, friendly crowd. BUT, it was the FOOD that really surprised us! Every dish we ordered was fantastic - creatively presented, without being fussy, and absolutely delicious. We've had many, many higher priced meals and the food compared well to even the highest-end dining rooms. Really wonderful.

And, to top it off, the service was very good. We were promptly seated, promptly served cocktails, and the meal pace was very well done. Our server was friendly and attentive, without being obtrusive.

A wonderful, reasonably priced venue!

Lime is the place I use if I want to hang out with a small group of friends, and chat and laugh over dinner. I like places like Lime because it's really for anyone, even if you're on a budget. And their menu can satisfy any type eater( I had a friend that was a veg.) I love their sea bass, their salads, grilled cheese and their fish tacos....so much flavor. Lime is a fun place-- been there four times so far. With their prices it's easy to repeat frequently.

Anytime the entire wait staff has to wear coordinating uniforms of short-short white shorts/skirts, low cut blouses, knee high socks do I need to go on they are trying way too hard. The decor was neat but uncomfortable. The best feature being the mini TVs along the bar and even in the bathroom. Drinks were very pricey. Food was fun to eat, especially the mini cheeseburgers and grilled cheese, but just mediocre on taste. In short, nice place to pop in and see but I wouldnt stay for dinner or more than one drink.

I thought that this was an above average small plates restaurant perfect for a late afternoon, but pass on dinner. It drowns you in plastic pink hues and lime green lighting. The small plates dare not be called tapas in the traditional sense. The small hamburger slides and the fish tacos top the list of my favorites. The potatoes are good as well as the string beans. The poke was way over salted and the grilled cheese very greasy. The steak was average. The wine list is average and priced accordingly. There are a myriad of fun cocktail drinks. The menu is a bit awkward but in the end; entices a very riske' and metrosexual and gay vague crowd; a bit loud on the music.

Kudos to Lime! I wasn't expecting much...went there for a late night snack (not much open after 10 pm in the City)...but had a terrific experience on the whole. The food portions are small, the prices high for the quantity given, but we had such stellar service - the best I've had in 5 years at least - that I actually wanted to give them props.
Interestingly, it was the bartender who waited on us, and her vibe was just what the doctor ordered. I never thought I'd go back, to be honest. I walked in, and initially, the place seemed a bit loud/bright for me. But it's now on my list for a return visit. Here's hoping the service is that good all the time.

You can't help but smile when you walk into this place. The decor is stylized, with a white bar and white seats with lime insets in the seats and small tv screens inset into the bar -- with the assortment of odd anime and movie clips showing. Food is tasty smalll bites. Probably the best micro-burger i've had in SF. I'd go back just for that. Filet Mignion was served in strips two ways. Yum! The food is a great backdrop to the scene which is one part Union street, two parts Castro. I'll definitely be going back. A lot!

I love this place for a mid-week eat. The decor is modern, sleek, but welcoming. The waitstaff are super friendly and it isn't hard to come by a last minute reservation. I have never had to wait for a table once I had arrived. The mixed drinks are inventive, but the wine list is shabby at best. Small plate food is inventive and down to earth. Try the deviled eggs (like mom made), filet mignon in 2 sauces, and the ahi tuna tartare. The best part is that it is not pricy! YUM!

i just went to lime for the first time the other night after hearing great things about it for months. i live nearby and was a little intimidated to go because it always looks so packed. but i realized, that's only in the front! there are quite a few tables and we were seated immediatly even without a reservation. we got great service and the food was surprisingly very creative and tasty. i highly reccommend this place.

Lime isn't the best for big groups. First of all, they weren't ready for a table for us when we got there, which is fine because not all from my party arrived on time. But when we were finally seated, they still didn't have a big table in the back for us, and putting the blame on US for being late, when the hostess herself apologized for their own tardiness.

Parking is horrible as well.

This is a great place to bring gay or straight friends... it feels like a bar/club but you are in a restaurant. White with pink lighting- very Miami/new york. The small dishes were fun to share and all very good. It's a good place to go to dinner if you want to feel like you "went out" for the night-- without having to hit other bars up. I wouldn't suggest it for a date.

Went for a friend's b-day. Was immediately seated. The service was great. Especially the waitress, Antonia! The food was very delicious. The fish tacos, the mini burgers, even the deviled eggs... the more 'adult' choices on the menu, lamp chops, shrimp on a skewer were very tasty as well. Drinks were stiff (try the mojito), but the music a bit loud.

Very Mod! Nicely laid out space. I'm not sure if it's a restaurant or a bar serving food. Either way, food was great. If you like the "White Trash" menu...definitely go for the deviled eggs. The mini burgers were good too and the fish taco was surprisingly good. Though they played really fun music, it was a touch too loud. For a party of 2, 2 cocktails each and 6 different dishes to share...total tab about $ 70. It's a good place to go before you head off to a wild night out.

A friend of mine was visiting from out of town and had heard about Lime. I called on early Friday afternoon and was told there were two time slots open for dinner: 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. We opted for the later time, and upon arrival, were told that they showed no reservation under my name and that it wasn't in the computer. The two girls at the reservation counter were extremely rude, as was the manager, whom I had spoken with on the phone. It should be noted there were two large parties waiting to be seated as well, in essence, we were bumped to make room for them. Before we left, we were given the option to be placed on the waiting list, approximately a 35-45 minute wait. Go for drinks, but eat elsewhere.

I was a bit sceptical of this place from the description, thinking that it would be very pretentious and that the staff there would be more concerned with appearing cool than of giving me 2 seconds of their time but i was pleasantly surprised to find everyone from the hostess to the bartender (killer mojito!!) to the waitress to be very friendly and attentive. By the way, the food was great, and we ordered the grilled cheese sandwich twice!

The decor could hardly look better, this place is truly a new era in San Francisco nightclub/dining. It's fun, hip, a good excuse to dress up a bit, and you feel quite glamorous while there. Little details such as the video in the bathroom and the coordinated server outfits really help make Lime a destination in its own right.

Pros: Decor, Buzz, Fun Crowd

Cons: , Wait for Drinks

The menu is a great mix of items, once you can get a table. Their drinks make the wait pleasurable, however. Try the Coconut Mohito - delish! The decor is 60's mod with white plastic chairs and melamine tables. The servers are all color coded and look great in their uniforms. Are diets for servers required or are they all underfed? The bill tends to sneak up on you as you order dish after dish - although they are reasonably priced. The drinks are also reasonable. $8 Mohito in a pint glass! We wondered how much fresh mint they went through. All in all a good start.
