This restaurant has it all! Damani - the chef has to be one of the most talented chef's that we have ever met - Damani's preperation of the dishes that are served - from the visual to the flavors that blend together perfectly will give your dining experience an over the top moment. We travel all over the world and this has to be my favorite restaurants anywhere! Keet -manager is very personable and had pulled this restaurant together to make all the combinations to make this restaurant one of the all around best restaurants! DO NOT MISS THIS RESTAURANT - It's the best!

My husband and I were given a recommendation to eat here when we headed over to Santa Cruz for the weekend. Oswalds is tucked away in an ally towards one end of the downtown area and we were delighted to get reservations ahead of time. It isn't a very large place but there is nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a sizable wine list. Much of the food comes from organic origins and the menu has some interesting recipes but also some standard fare for those that don't like to experiement. This is a higher end restaurant but it is worth the cost.

After our third *perfect* meal at Oswalds, we can honestly say this is on of the best resturants in the Bay Area, and on par with *anything* in San Fran or Berkeley.

Seems often overlooked... this is a very big mistake for those looking for excellent cuisine combined with stellar service and atmosphere. A 10.

Boyfriend took me here recently and it was lovely. Very small place tucked away down a little cobblestone walk. It might seat 45 or thereabouts, so reservations are highly reccommended. Romantic for couples but not so much that a few friends couldn't have a great dinner together, too. Excellent wine list, perfect timing and the food is elegant and creative featuring seasonal, locally grown organic produce. Portion size is smaller, or shall I say -normal-, which is such a refreshing change. Can't wait to go back.
